After watching the interview with Todd, I think i'm going to jump on board and see how this run goes.

If Todd really wants to boost sales on Spawn, he needs to not only write the series, but draw it as well.

I almost left when he first stopped drawing the series, but I stayed on for awhile. Finally, when the story didn't seem to be going anywhere and it was obvious Todd was not going to draw the comic book again, I dropped the title with #63 and haven't come back.

The only thing that will make me start buying the comic again will be Todd on both story and art.

This sounds fascinating but....I just don't care about Spawn anymore.

I think he does better in other more finite media such as the movies and the cartoon (which I happened to really like). I dunno, I wish Todd the best of luck on this but I'm not sure if the book will sell any better with a new Spawn. Perhaps if he worked with Kirkman to boost his image given how big of a superstar he is for Image.

yeah i had basically dropped all my dc and marvel, i was sticking to mainly Wild Storm but spawn is fairly easy to keep up with since its just one comic and i did like AL. I think there could have been a better job done by the writers on the book. I didn't like 185 i don't think its the right way to go. i don't like the way the character was written off by the creator its his not mine so i can't change anything but its piss poor.

Consider me a fan of Spawn. I read the David Hine run, starting to collect the early issues of Spawn, and read issue 185. It's pretty good for a beginning issue, but I'm sure Todd has a lot of cards up his sleeves to keep the character interesting.
