Kitty Pryde Appreciation

Anyway... I really like XMF 161 Kitty's new costume, adamantium claw, more offensive rather than defensive approach. I don't like the bone nails, but then again, I really disliked Kitty having an adamantium claw at first, but now can't envision the character without it.

There's a few problems I have with that version of Kitty. One is the adamantium claw. Wolverine and those like him can use such claws because they have healing factors. The wounds close. It's never explained how she doesn't just bleed profusely while the claw is popped. And also she can't phase adamantium, so it transferring to her from Wolverine doesn't work either. And those aren't character items, but rather just issues of consistency with what came before.

But as I've checked in on X-Men Forever, it seems she's become more and more of a Wolverine substitute. I find that fairly uninspiring.

I respect your opinion that she's like a Wolverine substitute, I somewhat agree. Kitty herself has expressed on panel how she's bothered that's she's becoming more and more like him.

Anyway, are there moderators on this board? I don't post that often. But I state my own opinion about how I appreciate a certain version of Kitty, and I am told (by Talisman) to GTFO (which I think means "get the f out")

And even with the claw, there's no real reason for her to become like Wolverine. She's gotten increasingly angry or bloodthirsty. Did she acquire his berserker rage somehow, too?

Anybody else here reckon Kitty Pryde should lead her own team? I was reading NM #31 the other day (where she leads the NM in order to rescue Bobby and Amara) and there she shows some pretty awesome leadership.

I wasn't exactly sure (I'm very new to this forum). Had to defend her just in case, haha. Nobody messes with Kitty Pryde! Nobody! Rarrr.

Probably a fair bit, which is sad. I don't like the uber politically-correct direction the world is taking nowadays. It is sucking the fun out of everything.

I personally really like Kitty's attitude with the whole thing. I wasn't offended by it at all, but then again: 1. I'm not black, and 2. I'm not American.

But even if you replace it with something that discriminates against me, say a sexist remark, it isn't offensive, it's quite funny.

For example: (imagine kitty pryde is a male talking to a female)
"You a mutant then Pryde, like him?"
"Gee, Sam, who said you could leave the kitchen?"
