I've been thinking it over, trying to figure out who would be the ideal romantic partner for Kitty. And have come to the conclusion that she should stay single. Her relationship with Pete and the budding quasi-romance with Bobby have both been matters used to forward there character development at the cost of her own. She's better than both of them put together and does't need their navel-gazzing to bring her down.
