Find somewhere where they got a bargain bin and grab yourself a bunch of good comics for $1 each.

I recommend 'El Diablo', a DC series that ran from 1989-1991. 16 issues, which leaves you four bucks to blow on hats.

Also, and more importantly, nowhere in your original post did you ask WHICH single issues, you only asked how many you could get.

This is what you should do. Try to get anything from the 70's. I spent 20$ at a con in the dollar bins, just picking up the weirdest cover taglines I could find.

Justice League of America, The Defenders, Doctor Strange. Iron Man. There's some seriously bizarre stuff out there.
