Huh?
six dollars? Where do you buy your comics?
They're like, 3 dollars new on the stands, fool.
And I was wondering WHICH single issues would be the best to get, not how many.
Find somewhere where they got a bargain bin and grab yourself a bunch of good comics for $1 each.
I recommend 'El Diablo', a DC series that ran from 1989-1991. 16 issues, which leaves you four bucks to blow on hats.

MarkAndrew at Comics Should Be Good
This is what you should do. Try to get anything from the 70's. I spent 20$ at a con in the dollar bins, just picking up the weirdest cover taglines I could find.
Justice League of America, The Defenders, Doctor Strange. Iron Man. There's some seriously bizarre stuff out there.
