screw that. Blade will have a black woman. several of them. and plenty of other beautiful intelligent women. or a guy if he so chooses. but Blade's married to the job. he doesn't have time for another commitment. besides he's immortal. anyways, i would suggest a short fling w/ Misty Knight since she came close to dating a vampire once. or they could make that doctor from the first movie a comic book character.

Exactly. Vampires should be the only thing Blade sticks it to every night.

Alright, so make a vampire love interest! Just have Blade seduce them James Bond style and kill them in the point of orgasm! It's bound to rise up sales!

maybe a villainess could have a crush on Blade. it seems to have worked for Daredevil over the years. there also needs to be a moral dilemma villain; someone who Blade has to kill but his heart isn't necessarily in it to do so.

    Arrow Blade Appreciation

Blade creative team, eh? Ideally, David Goyer and/or Geoff Johns with any decent artist will be a creative and commercial success.

Bloodscream should be a Blade bad guy, that would be cool. I think Marvel killed him off in an issue of IRON MAN: DIRECTOR OF S.H.I.E.L.D. but I could be wrong.

It actually happened in the last Blade series, issue 4.

Heh heh, yeah, I remember that. That was quite some interesting dialogue between them too, they could have lasted a few issues.

I think that was most people's problem with the book, the art just didn't fit

    That would be Bloodscream

He's not a traditional vampire, but he has vampire like attributes and i'm sure it'd be fun to see Blade go after him

As for a love interest what about Saffron? She's his old love interest from ToD and such. I don't think readers, just like Blade, will care what color his love interest is as long as it's well written and not forced like the godawful Black Panther/Storm union

Heh heh, yeeeaaah, I would suggest we not get into that since a lot of us here actually like the marriage.

To be honest I have nothing against the marriage, just the way it was handled, especially by Mr Huddlin, whom i have nothing but dislike for considering his attituted toward anyone that doesn't agree with him (see people who critiqued his Black Panther, B.E.T. or Aaron McGruder)

I agree that I felt the handling of the marriage I didn't like either. I thought it was written very poorly. But now that the marriage is here, I really like the two of them together and hope they stay. There's potential.

I like Blade, but I don't think he's had a good comic book in some time now. :(
