So in the least we know a variation of the team can be called together if some sort of mystical emergency warrented it. That's something at least.

emailed guggenheim again about the one-shot:

I've been talking about with Marvel very recently, actually. David is virtually finished with the art -- which looks spectacular. I'm glad to hear there's still interest in it. Fingers crossed that we see it very soon!

No, that version of the Sons had Morbious, Werewolf by Night, Hellstrom, Jennifer Kale, and Man-Thing.

I think around that time, Blade was across the pond in Mi-13.

dunno how I feel about Gischler's Blade, but I do like his other vampire stories sO i would definitely give him another chance:
    1) Your run on "X-Men" will definitely be remembered for their interaction with the vampire world. I really liked what you did, but it felt like you had more plans in that area and it got cut short. Were there other mutant-vampire adventures to come, or is this just wishful thinking on my part?

I wouldn't say I got cut short, Ramelito. Nothing lasts forever and the X-office told me well ahead of time when I would be wrapping my run, so everything I was supposed to do got done. Having said that, I do have a cool Dracula idea rattling around in my head -- one which brings back Blade for an appearance. So, who can say?

Would anyone mind giving me a quick critique/synopsis of the short-lived 1994-1995 Blade series? I'm trying to fill out my Midnight Sons collection and this was one of the books I skipped on back in the day, then never got around to picking up the back issues. Now, they're kind of hard to find, and not exactly cheap!

My apologies if that books been discussed elsewhere in the thread. I read the first and last 10 pages. Don't quite have enough time for all 242...

Andy Diggle...he straight up said he wanted to write a Blade solo.

Gischler is probably the worst writer for any vampire stuff I've seen to date.

His take on Blade has been craptastic.
    Somedays, I'm quite the humanitarian.

Arrg that hurts. Diggle would have been a great.

Thought I would share my favourite image of Blade.

I went to a restaurant in my town and saw that they had drinks named after heroes, I know people always wonder which heroes are most popular to the general public so I took a look. It went:
    Superman
    Batman
    Flash
    Ironman
    Aquaman
    Green Lantern
    Spiderman
    Silver Surfer
    Captain America
    Thor
    Punisher
    Wonder Woman
    Gambit
    Daredevil
    Wolverine
    and at the bottom:
    Blade

It was nice to see that Blade is still one of the most recognizable comic heroes.
