Yeah, she only had her entire home burnt to the ground along with the people she cared for, was always treated as a demon even before that by the children, barely knew her mother, had her friend Jaguar turned to ice, and had to spend her entire child life on the run doing favors for people who would turn right around and sell her out to the Marines.....

And your belitting Sasuke because despite certain cicumstances. Sasuke and Robin both lost something that made them cold and distant from others until they met certain people. But Sasuke's situation is a little more complex than Robins's. Sasuke had a extreme bond with his brother, he was his reason for living, he was his whole reason for striving to become a better person. A Brotherly bond that was stronger than anything in the world. And then, Sasuke without a single hestation cried and weeped because his brother(his greatest bond) betrayed him by killing his other bonds in front of his eyes without giving him a reason. Which led Sasuke into a mass histeria of vengence and revenge. Just think how traumatic about how your whole world comes tumbling down in one night by one of your own kin. Add to the fact, his whole clan is nearly extinct and he's one of the last survivors. So condeming Sasuke because he never had the mental awareness to get over his trauma which was later eleborated by Itachi as he had him hate him and strive to become stronger doesn't mean Robin is more well established.

Robin watched her family die, her friends die, her entire childhood die in the space of a night, basically got told by the government that her life was worth less than garbage and that her mere existence was a blight...

Sasuke was mindraped, fucking mindraped and beaten by his bro after he saw his family and clan die. He suffered more mental trauma. Naruto's goverment, were the masterminds behind Sasuke's genocide of the Uchiha's the basically sent his brother to get his hands dirty and risk tramuatizing his little brother by killing everyone. Like I said, much more complex on Sasuke's side.

...and then got this reinforced pretty much every day for the rest of her life until she met Luffy and co. The only folks who would keep her around after figuring out who she was were scumbags, and even they eventually considered it too much and tried to kill her/turn her in/whatever.

Can't same the same for Sasuke, since Naruto and Sakura were the only ones who forced themselves into Sasuke's life before they were bonded as a team. Sasuke didn't look for acknowledgement from them, he looked for power to reach his own personal goals.

Sasuke's life has been sunshine by comparison.

But, his likelyhood in the village wouldn't have been so decent if the village knew about his clans coup de ta. Sasuke being a praised person was consipracy hidden from the elders and sandaime. If anyone knew about the Uchiha massascre in the village, everyone would hate him as much as Naruto.

After the Uchiha Massacre, the rest of his suffering and turmoil has been self-induced. Even when he had plenty of folks willing to bend over backwards to help him out.

Who exactly? People only liked him because he was the last survivor and he has skills. No one gave crap about his emotional well being. Only two people cared about him, and they were wanting something from Sasuke than to have a need to help him.

Surprise, life gets harder when you act like a douche, then commit treason and join Orochimaru, followed by Akatsuki.

Actually Itachi had no bond as he was usually dragged off because of duty or dear ole dad.

Sasuke had his whole family murdered by his dick of a big brother who then mindraped him.
I can understand how that would be traumatizing.
Still, at least he had the whole village treating him like a superstar, which is way way more then Robin had.

My gut instinct was to say Robin, but thinking about it, it's really kinda of hard to compare. I mean, I don't think one even can compare suffering on this level. It's pretty individual, you know?

Both had relatively happy childhoods up until they both lost pretty much everything they ever cared about.

Now, on one hand, most of Robin's life following this sucked incredible amounts of ass whereas Sasuke was still accepted within Konoha and at least had the option of making friends.

On the other hand, while Sasuke didn't go through the same sheer amount of crap as Robin did, at least Robin didn't get tortured/mindraped and manipulated into revenge-obsessed super ninja.

It depends, really. Robin probably suffered more, but Sasuke's trauma was more sudden and seems to have scared him deeper.

Depends on how much they decide to open up to one another, really.

Though, somehow I see Robin kinda-sorta getting through to him. She may not approve of his decisions but she ought to be able to sympathize with his experiences.

I don't see them being the best of buddies, but they'll be able to understand one another.
