I don't know about within the current world, but I think that the original New Avengers lineup was nearly perfect. The only thing I would have done was put Daredevil on the team, whether as himself or as Ronin (though I understand why this couldn't be done, it was more of a logistical thing. The things Brubaker had planned for DD just couldn't work with him being in the Avengers). Also, I'd probably add Hawkeye, just to have one more classic Avenger in there. So,

note(s): most level-headed of the group and quick to point out when they are acting recklessly (usually w/ an art of war quote).

note(s): probably the most heroic of the bunch. also the most reluctant to get his hands dirty. Terrence prefers to play negotiator but is usally forced to be the one to end fights quickly and painfully.

note(s): comic relief. weakest link on the team because of his tendency to cut-and-run at the slightest hint of danger (although this sometimes makes him the ace in the hole). his armor makes him a brick and a stealth character; depending on what the situation requires.

additional note(s): originally, Diamondback was co-leader. but i needed more power in my lineup. so i brought in Armory; another female w/ short oddly-colored hair. they just didn't look right in the same lineup. plus, it made my team too large (i prefer 7 members max). anyways, i see them as a good counterpart to the Thunderbolts or a more street-level Avengers team. Trauma and Armory are my big guns. the rest are your super-skilled melee fighters (or stealth characters). and Taskmaster, when used properly, can be nearly as good a field-leader as Captain America. they're all pretty much loose cannons; making this suicide squad-esque.
