Negi Springfield is a 10 year old wizard that has recently graduated from wizard school. His first official assignment is to be the teacher of a class of 31 japanese high school girls, in japan of course. When he arrives there they're all first stunned that he's so young. Keeping this class under control is kind of difficult, and not just because they're all 4 or 5 years older than Negi. Within the class there is a vampire, a robot, a ghost, a ninja, a mercenary for hire, a time-traveler, a... I'm not sure what she is but she never talks and has scary cretures that no one else can see as friends, and many more colorful personalities.
Negi has to live together Asuna Kagurasaka, a tempermental girl who doesn't like kids, and Konoka Konoe, the kind and gentle and kind of spazzy grand-daughter of the principle.
Negi is also looking for his father, a legendary wizard called 'The Thousand Master, who seems to have disappeared from the face of the planet.
Through various adventures Negi and the girls grow closer and more mature as he finds out about their connections to each other, the magical world and his father's past.
It's starts of a typical harem manga but rather quickly changes compeltely into a unique and impressive action/adventure manga.
