Good read. Marc seems like a decent guy. Must be hard to take internet flack, but he seems to have a good direction planned out.
I feel for him doubly. I mean, his first five issues were all a misleading path, that isn't actually where this team, or this book is going. So he took the heat for five months, and now, he's pretty much re-pitching a mission statement, and a team roster, and he'll likely catch grief again, as some can complain about what direction it'll go beginning with issue #6.
Now, I haven't laid the boom on Guggs because it was obvious he was telling a story with the first arc that wouldn't be indicative of the mission statement, so I feel like I still can't pass judgement on this book until the second or third arc he writes is over. The roster won't even be more clear until #8 (although, it looks like potentially spoilers:end of spoilers based off a lot of solicits and previews. It'll be interesting to see how that, and a lot of the teasers he included at the end of issue #5 spoilers:
Anole and Surge end of spoilers play out. Hopefully interesting in a good way.

Can any one tell me if this is true?Even though the sales on YXM are significantly higher than those for NXM
They didn't answered any of my questions. But at least they improved on the artwork a bit. Though I notice that they have 2 of the same preview art twice.
Damn, nobody asked the question if they were getting rid of Paquette...
I've enjoyed YXM for the most part, and this got me excited for #6 and 7! I think some stand alone character issues are exactly what this book needs. I'm not the BIGGEST Anole fan (frankly, I would rather still have Wolfcub. Or Mercury, this team is a sausage fest!), but I'm glad to see him somewhere.
July 2008, sales
#52 $2.99 MAR Young X Men #4 41,330 from 45,204 -3,874 -8.57%
July 2007 sales
#52 New X-Men #40 $2.99 Marvel 49,497
Overall, New X-Men a year earlier was outselling it by about 10%, but all books are down since then. The key, for me, is that both placed at #52 on the sales charts. I'd say the difference is neglible.
