    Mandrakk the Dark Monitor
Am I the only one who finds that name/title combination a little ridiculous sounding?

No. And so far, I've liked Final Crisis.

I don't read JSA but everytime I see an image of Amazing Man I think damn, that is one cool looking design.

I might get that Ross written JSA:Superman book too. I imagine all the Ross haters will be lined up to pan that one.

And where is Billy Batson: Magic of Shazam?

    Here is my haul..........

SGT. ROCK: THE LOST BATTALION #1 - this looks so good, I may trade wait
VIXEN: RETURN OF THE LION #2 - I've only been a fan since JLU, but Vixen is a star!

THE LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES: THE MORE THINGS CHANGE
    SUPERMAN: PAST AND FUTURE
TALES OF THE BATMAN: TIM SALE
SHOWCASE PRESENTS: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD " BATMAN TEAM-UPS VOL. 3
SHOWCASE PRESENTS: STRANGE ADVENTURES VOL. 1

I don't like to be negative, the super and green lantern books are great. Morrisons Batman is great. The other Bat books are pretty good. But DC's second (and lower) tier superhero books are a whole lot of suck. DC needs some creative house cleaning and new blood.

Not really that bad. The JSA oneshots and the New Krypton crossover in the Superman books added a few but not real bad. I am sad that there is no Legion of 3 Worlds listed for November though.

I'm really impressed by James Jean's new Fables cover, it looks completely unlike anything he's ever done before. And who'd a thought he could make a cover creepier than his Hansel cover?
And the Vixen covers by Middleton continue to look amazing!!!
I'm also jazzed that Death shows up in Madame Xanadu. I really hope that issue continues to up the profile of this really good Vertigo title.

I recognize that Terra cover from something else a long, long time ago. Anyone remember where it was originally used?

We were told Terra was getting a mini-series, over a year ago (I think). And that was the promo art we were shown. And I am so excited that we are finally getting it! I love her.

This looks like it will be a good month. I'll post my pull list for November, later.

The solicit in that which MOST made me go "what the huh?" (other than "Mandrakk the Dark Monitor")?

    SUPERMAN/SUPERGIRL: MAELSTROM #1-2
Written by Jimmy Palmiotti & Justin Gray
Art and cover by Phil Noto
A vicious Apokolptian villain known as Malestrom has arrived on Earth to kill Superman so that she might become The Bride of Darkseid! Superman and Supergirl join forces to battle the villain but at what cost to Metropolis? From Earth to Apokolips and beyond, Superman and Supergirl face unexpected challenges in this action-packed tale examining what it means to be a hero.
Did Jimmy Palmiotti not get the memo about Apokolips gettin' all trashed and those pesky folks moving into our digs?

Yeah, I know. "It happened in the past".

The real WTF? part of the solicit is that it says Supes has to die so he can be Darkseid's bride

I love how they keep saying "male Wonder Woman" because they can't say "Wonder Man."
