This is the reason why I love Joe Q (for the most part). The fact that a fan yelling out "Marvel Apes!" stuck in his head and then he had it created is so awesome.

Should we expect a 1 ton green gorilla with torn purple pants? (Hint!Hint!)

I can already see I'm going to fall hopelessly in love with this book.

I'm not a Joe Q. fan at all.

However that doesn't keep Marvel Apes from being a clever idea. It is, and thankfully a moment of comedy at a convention got turned into something interesting.

I also am NOT a fan of Marvel Zombies. But since I LOVE Planet of the Apes, I consider this a more interesting variant. And I'm actually pleased by what I see in that article, because the "hook" into the Ape Universe isn't just a copy of either Planet of the Apes OR Marvel Zombies. It's a new hook, and maybe even a pleasantly silly one.

When Kesel first mentioned Ape X, I thought he was going to bring in the old Squadron Supreme villain. Alas, it isn't so.

This does seem like it might be kind of fun, though. After reading the article, I'm actually somewhat interested in the title, which I wasn't previously.

Wasn't that interested in this title when I first saw it mentioned, but that article has made it sound a good deal more interesting.
