Midway Amusement has released the first trailer for their highly anticipated "Mortal Kombat vs. the DC Universe" fighter game, revealing new moves, settings, combos and more!

Holycrap! That is probably the most bad@$$ thing I've seen since forever! I hope that we see Kitana soon! I know it's been confirmed at the Comic-Con this past weekend, so maybe we'll see her and others soon! I can't wait to have Catwoman vs. Kitana! EEEEEEKKKKKKKKKK!

pretty cool looking, but I haven't bought any MK game in a while & Supes fighting Scorpion was kinda weird, but it's a fighting game so...

I have to eat crow. A lot of that looked pretty damned cool. Supes 'seismic toss" was kinda awesome, as was the "push through walls" and stuff.

Doesn't seem the move set in this game is very deep or as sophisticated as most other 3-D fighters these days. The graphics and special movies are pretty, but after that everything else for the game falls short, IMO. Theres not much substance to the fighting and the seemingly scant move list will become redundant quick. I also wish each fighter had a signiture grab instead of that up close thing where nothing but generic punches and kicks will be dilvered. I think falling feature is pretty lame, too. If it wasn't for the presence of the DC characters this game would be forgettable.

You know, this has been the same case for every MK game since it went 3d in the first place.

I loved MK: Armageddon and can't wait for this. Mortal Kombat isn't my favorite fighting game series, but it's up there.

Why do they try to half ass the explanation of how superman can be in the game.
"He's also weak to magic!"
Yes, and batman developed the ability to become immune to being frozen and lit on fire. Just say "It's a game" and be done with.
Close Combat looks kinda cool, nice to see an original idea in a fighting game, though i still don't like the mortal kombat fighting system.

Yeah. No one explained why Roll could hang against Thanos in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. I don't think a huge explanation is needed.

Was there even a story in the Marvel vs Capcom games? My point being that I agree it didn't matter. It was just a lot of fun to play.

Why explain it? Maybe because when the game first got announced there was a bunch of whining that the MK characters couldn't fight Superman.

They really can't win...don't explain, get whined at...explain..get whined at.
