Oh no. Oh just.... nonononononononononononononononono..... PLEASE say Rick Remender isn't going to be the new writer for Booster Gold. P-L-E-A-S-E!

Don't get me wrong... Remender is GREAT on his creator owned stuff BUT the man has a dark streak a mile wide -- even HE admits it! Geoff Johns just got done giving back poor Booster some of the people he lost and when Rememder got hold of "The All New Atom" one of the first things he did was kill the hero's best friend.

I'm afaid here. I'm very afraid.

Actually, I think that Remender is an interesting choice and I'll definitely be checking his take on the character.

Also, what's with that Justice League of America cover? Impulse? Looking not at all like a teenager?

And yup, it looks like the Flash's kids are no more and nor, for that matter, is Pa Kent. I actually kinda hope that I'm wrong about both.

Yeah. What Remender did with All New-Atom is hardly confidence inspiring.

I mean it wasn't just a character death. It was a badly executed, pointless character death--after pointlessly torturing the character for several issues before that. There was no lesson imparted, other than "gee, doesn't it suck for you if you hang out with a hero!"

DC is certainly batting a thorough .000 when it comes to picking writers to continue a successful run. Rick Remender? LOL!

On a side note, I am HATING that cover to Titans #6. Would it kill Benitez to put some heels on Donna and Kory? The flatties look is soooo boring.

DC Is just killing Marvel right now, at least in putting out stuff I'm honestly looking forward to picking up and reading.

They're going to need two extra trades for all those damn Final Crisis one-shots. That cow is well and truly hooked up to the milking machine.

I must really be into Final Crisis, because for the first time in years I don't mind all the tie-in issues I'll have to get for an event.

I think that will either be great -- or really, really silly!

wait...what...superheroes vs werewolves and vampires possibly too silly?

I've seen enough El Santo movies to know that can't be.

Where's Final Crisis the Coloring Book, Final Crisis the Breakfast Cereal, or Final Crisis the Flamethrower? Actually, I went by a Hot Topic for the first time in ages and weridly saw the Final Crisis 'Legends Never Die' image on a shirt.

Also, "SUPERMAN AND BATMAN VS. VAMPIRES AND WEREWOLVES #1-2"? What? Did someone at DC finally see Underworld and go, Hey! We should totaly copy that with our two most popular characters. Ugh.

Well, I've been meaning to cut back anyway and a number of creative changes this month seem like a good jumping off point. I've just lost interest in a number of books anyway.
