It was a scene in the anime when he was in Vietnam. It's been a while since I've watched that scene but from what I remember it should of been more than enough to kill him. You're right I am underestimating Bunshichi a little to much. I'd say he'd do well enough to make Yujiro get serious.

The explosion in Vietnam was a nuke? I don't remember that.

I've got to say Yujio tanking a nuke makes even less sense than him stopping an earthquake.

What say we ignore that one as well on the grounds of it being heavy SMvsFL.

It wasn't a nuke. They brought multiple bombers in and levelled the battlefield in the Baki anime, "True Nature of Hanma Yujiro." He survived by hiding in the Viet Cong tunnels, after which IIRC he was found by Hanma Jack's mother who he fought alongside for about 1/4 of an episode(anime)

This, I can believe. Yujiro sucking back a nuke would be a little much.

    tthis..is called a bullshit feat

this alogn with the earth quake thing

are feats that are not admissible as evidence

due to them being outrageously inconsistent with his over all performances

we defealt to primary source of cannon which is the manga not the anime

and even then it would be thrown out

so if it happened in the anime but not manga its not usable

if that..happened in the manga its still not usable on the grounds of being over the top and contradictory

I remember the tunnel scene where he meets Jack's mother afterwards. There's another scene another scene where he save's Jack's mother and I remember an explosion hitting he's back while he smiled. It could have been a missile someone on another thread said it was a nuke but I really need to watch that ep again.

You definitely do. Tanking an explosion is different from tanking a direct hit from a missile, which Yujiro never did. The only one who I can recall who tanked a shell was movie Casshern, by catching a tank round after it was fired.

    for me it is Tawara;
Let us compare them with each other; (without abilities) Let us say that they are both equally strong and fast, Yuujiro is a very highly skilled martial artist but Tawara is a very intelligent fighter. In fact, Tawara have beaten everyone in Tenjho Tenge, he even could have killed Mitsuomi who is, I think, is as strong, as fast and as skilled as Yuujiro (noting that he first fought with the 2nd rate Mitsuomi, having his spine broken and not activating his rage ability). (with abilities) Yuujiro has none but for his Orca which is not an ability (it is just by flexing his back muscle, nothing special) even Tawara has sort-of that, but it is muscle increase which is an ability and way better than the Orca adding Tawara's Rage which is truly a devastating ability. So who else wants to say it is Yuujiro? =)

Huh, here's a walk down memory lane.

I stand by my initial assessment from 5 years ago. Bunshichi can likely win it if it goes to slugfest but Yujirou will win if sacrifices his pride and fights smart for once in his goddamn life.

Seeing him try the human nunchaku thing on Bunshichi would be kind of funny though.

It's funny how Dress is supposed to be more fearsome than his usual Ogre Power right straight of death.

Anyways, shouldn't bloodlust cover the pride issue? Far as I recall, the only thing it doesn't negate is actual stupidity.

Eh, his pride would be removed from bloodlusted state, but I imagine that he still wouldn't default to Xiao Li or something. He'd likely go for his normal straight up punching things first because it's his default attack. Once Bunshichi hits him back and Yujirou realises that he can't just slug him down, he'll go Xiao Li or something.

Hmm. I wonder if offensive Xiao Li would let him outpunch Bunshichi.
