Outside of some Alan Moore "Swamp Thing," I can't think of when this has been done, at least at this level.

    Er, OK.

I did find his line about how he "just can't win" to be funny. It's very true. If he had just thrown these characters in and THEN gone back and shown their recruitment, you know people would be complaining.

But yeah, the Swamp Thing line was just goofy. I'm sure this has been done in numerous comics, even if Bendis hasn't read them. :D

The whole thing about the troneworld and the real Tony Strak being long gone should have snap him out of it.

Look like she dont know he know that there cant be no troneworld since the Skrulls are now near extinct.

And That He is'nt the original Tony Stark but a amalgamation of Teen Tony and Heroes Reborn Tony and the memories of the original Tony Stark. Unless Franklin Richard actualy brought him back to life(can he do that?) Then it open a whole new can of worms about all the peoples he murdered and tried to kill..

Any theories on Stonewall's (AKA Jerry Sledge) lineage?

comic fans aren't happy unless there's something to bitch about

Veranke is leading an extremist religious sect of Skrulls, she could call the planet she was exiled to Throneworld and that would be good enough for them. Hell, she could name an anthill in Vermont to be the new Throneworld and most of the Skrulls wouldn't blink.

And I'm sure Tony has had plenty of time to accilmate to the mixed history of Tony, Teen Tony and Tony Reborn that he considers himself "The real Tony Stark."

I don't find it surprising that neither snapped him out of it.

Awesome so far! I hoping they will through in a Green Goblin joke at some point too. Something like, Norman Osborn looks at one of the skrulls and says "Now thats a handsome man!" Or some sh*t. I love that kind of tacky humor.

I don't think that he meant in other media outside of comics but I'm pretty sure he's wrong in that there have been more comics that have done that.

The Wizard Universe commentary as usual is more in depth but I'm guessing that Wizard made a deal with Bendis for the longer commentaries. Plus they actually talk to him about the panels instead of describing a scene and getting him to expand on them.
