As far as him not liking the bamfs in Kitty's story, he seemed more embarrassed than anything, if I recall right. I'll see if I can dig up some scans.

Paty Cockrum had said one time, when she (yes she :)) came up with the idea for Kurt's fur, that it translated so well into something to help Kitty get over her fear of Kurt's appearance -thus the nickname "Fuzzy Elf". Then Kitty came up with her fairy tale to allay Illyana's fears over all the chaos that had happened, if I'm not mistaken.

I'm not saying that Claremont and/or Cockrum plagiarized it, but it's inevitable thinking of Schtroumpfs ("Smurfs" in English, "Pitufos" for me):

Something else I've seen them called are horny blue Cabbage Patch dolls. ;)

Ha ha! Quite good, but resemblance between Bamfs and Schtroumpfs goes far away from skin colour and pocket-size. According to NC Limited Series and original Schtroumpfs comics (by Peyo), both of them are a crowd of male identical beings, comparable to goblins, who live in a remote magical place only accessible by interdimensional trip or "hypnokinesis". The only difference is there's just one Schtroumpfette and there are many Bamf-girls, but let's remember that early Kitty's fairy tale made understood female Bamfs didn't exist.

BTW, I've just found out BAMF is an acronim for Bad Ass Mother F***er. You already knew it for sure!

EDIT: "accessible by", not "reachable through". My English is awful X(

Interesting, about the Schtroumpfs :). The girl bamfs didn't get brought in until later, right, in that 4 issue mini?

Yes, I've heard the acronym before. Like it. :P You can actually get all kinds of stuff with "BAMF" on it, because of that.

Man, I just miss them hanging out together so much...
I agree. That's why I choose to think of my answer or yours as the reason.

^Aw, I like that pic. Pretty and adorable :) On the subject of "gypsy" and/or pirate attire... I was watching Octopussy yesterday (yes, of my own free will, lol) and it's got this whole plot involving a German circus. Anyway, at one point, Roger Moore kills an evil circus guy and steals his clothes, and then has to try to hitch a ride back to Berlin to stop a nuclear bomb blah blah blah. I was all like, "I can't believe no one will pick him up! What jerks!" To which my bf responded, "Would you pick up a hitchhiker wearing a pirate shirt?" Touche :P

Yeesh, that is a truly horrifying dream--I apologize for reminding you! I think all my Nightcrawler-related dreams have been on the wish-fulfillment side of things (that's not as exciting as it sounds--usually I just dream about comics I'd like to read but don't exist, 'cause, you know, I'm just that lame). But I did have a pretty scary one about flying one time where my powers crapped out on me, and I was stuck up on top of this billboard on the side of a mountain, with no way to get down or call for help... So silly when I woke up, but not a good time when I was asleep. Obviously, Fredric Wertham was right--comics are destroying our psyches :S

Yes, yes it would. And that picture is absolutely lovely to look at--I love the shading value on his skin.

Oh don't worry about it, that was one of my "normal" dreams (and I think those frequent "noise bursts" have something to do with certain health problems of mine), I use to have much worst nightmares --and much happier dreams, too. My dream life is so intensive I believe I would die if I lost this capacity.

Of course, comics of all kind are a usual dream topic --as books as characters (Kurt being a regular protagonist ). Once I had a great crush with Logan (a long time before movies and Jackman look), and yes! dreaming about comic-books that I wished or I lost or I never found is something recurrent. Once even I dreamt of a flea market salesman --he offered me a rare issue, but I sadly rejected it because "now I'll wake up and I won't be able to read it" (literally).

I've dreamt even of new drawing lines, and non-existent comics are a great starting point to fanfics and fanart.

As for gypsy clothes: Oh yeah!

Ok, there was a thread started “Should Azazel Ressurect his son?”

    http://forums.comicbookresources.com...urrect-his-Son

Here’s some pics I found on DA recently to contast with that WatX cover. Still, I find it odd to see fans depict Azazel and Mystique in such a way with Kurt, all cutsified like that..

Does this mean comic Azazel is Russian, too? I thought that I could accept Azazel if they did something cool with him but then I realized that's only part of the problem... he'd still be related to Abyss or Kiwi Black. Sooo... :S

I don't really get it... Why would Azazel want to resurrect Kurt W? Wouldn't he be sorta better off with Darkholme? But ah, who knows what his deal is, his existence and goals as established in those--what, 4 issues he's ever appeared in?--were mystifying at best.

Agreed the cutesy family pics are sort of weird... My impression is that people just think the fact of the interconnection is neat, and want it to be more than it is /shrug

On the topic of Abyss... Probably the only thing I enjoyed in Draco was how much of a dick Kurt was to that guy. But then, I guess it's not Abyss' fault he seems like a totally different character each time I see him. Upside, he was probably my favourite boss in the X-Men Legends II video game. I think you fight him on board a blimp that the game refers to as a "dirigible," and he cackles and makes bad puns at you the whole time.

Oh, and here's a new Kitty + Kurt fanfic chapter! Things get at least a bit "romantic" in this one ;)

And of course some cute fanart for the occasion :)

Maybe Azazel isn't really evil after all, and is just the victim of anti-"pretty mutant" prejudice? I like to think he's at least half-good, and I'm almost certain that he truly cared for Kurt. I think he'd be more interesting that way. He's also probably a grand liar, so I also like to pretend he's Russian, just because that would be awesome.

X-Men Legends II is just great in general. Mostly because Kurt has the most powerful move out of anyone in the entire game.

I don't know if I have a definite feeling, one way or another, on Azazel; his characterization didn't go much beyond "evil Devil guy" in Draco. I'm certainly open to someone doing something interesting with him, though. I mean, any characterization would be an improvement over no characterization.

And yes, I would marry X-Men Legends: II. Are Nightcrawler's teleport powers so good in that one because of a game glitch? Or was it meant to be that way?

tbh it's more of the latter

like there are a few other folks with crazy powers but Nightcrawler's take the cake. He helped me get through like 80 percent of the game super quick. Him and Sunfire were the two constants in my team
they label me a villain cause of how I express my feelings
