^ It's like a bust I guess, I really like the face too except for the red eyes, what are they contacts? I don't recall them in AoA.

I really like this fan piece but what is the girl, some type of fay, an angel or a child in costumes? Looks like it's set in Winzeldorf.

The red eyes are in the UX-F AoA. 616 Logan and Deadpool also have them, at least when they're in uniform. Very strange. It seems to make Kurt less unique, as far as eyes go.

I have no idea who the child is, but the wings seem to be held on by straps. Maybe it's an original character from fanfic. Or just someone cute that the artist made up.

Hey, I don't know if this was brought up in this thread before, but what do you guys think of the idea of Azazel being Kurt's father?
Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!

I have decided to let the Nostalgia Critic give my response for me.

Who would you rather be Kurt's father in 616?

    Facetious-yet-stil-brutally-honest answer? ANYONE ELSE.

Given more serious thought, I'd rather reaffirm the original point of Nightcrawler's character: That he's NOT a demon, despite looking like one, just a normal mutant whose powers manifested at birth. It's rare, but not completely unheard of; Beast's hands and feet were unusually large and strong from birth as well.

So I'd like there to be an actual Bavarian Wagner somewhere who was Mystique's lover twenty-something Marvel years ago and thus the father of Nightcrawler. Bonus points if he were actually a completely ordinary human.

Heck, even the "Destiny was mom, Mystique was dad" is a preferable alternative. At least it would give us some insight into the extent of Raven's shapeshifting powers, and the depth of the relationship she and Irene shared.

    Just...not the demon-daddy backstory. No.

    I completely agree.
Hell, even Magneto as Kurt's father would be better than Azazel.

I think I'd avoid the Destiny thing though.

I understand why people would be uncomfortable with it, but I still think Mystique would make more sense as a dad than Azazel. There's a reason we haven't seen his ass since the Draco.

Back to what I said about having Magneto being Kurt's dad. That would be a very funny thing to do. All of a sudden Kurt's half Jewish and has an alternate reality kid with his sister.

I don't mind Azazel being Kurt's father, Especially if it means a way to bring him back, somehow. I been wondering if Azazel is somehow responsible with all the bamfs that have showed up around the school.

In the Forever-verse, I was hoping that his father have turned out to be Logan. It was implied that Mystique was very close to him in the past.

I've always been a big fan of Nightcrawler however im pretty new to actually reading into the comics, my time playing any x-men games i was always Nightcrawler and he was the greatest in the 90's animated series.

I've read a few of the obvious comics to read for Nightcrawler his '86, 2001 and 2004 series, Origin One Shot and Manifest Destiny One Shot, And im currently looking into collecting Excalibur.

Can anyone give me some pointers as other series or story arc's i should definatly read?

I really think you should collect Claremont's original run in trade or reprints. It's more focused on Logan and Ororo than any other characters but Kurt's got some nice character moments and focus there. BUT, theeee most important would be the first Excalibur run which you already mentioned, as well as Claremont's third run on Uncanny - He really kicked ass there with art by Davis, Coipel and Bachalo. 'X-Men vignettes' is a collection of short character stories, many of the most memorable which focus on Kurt. And X-Infernus, the mini-series collected in hardcover (rather pricey) is pretty enjoyable for an NC fan. Also, if you are interested in Cartoon Kurt he has some awesome moments in the Wolverine and the X-Men cartoon.

My favorite onscreen representation is Evo Kurt, but WATXM Kurt is a close second.

Mines the opposite. WatX and Evo second. To me WatX is classic Kurt. Evo was fun though and he was likable.
