If you continue to doubt my thesis, consider how CC turned Sage into a rat! SHE IS AN ABUSE VICTIM!

    But was the rat abused?

EDIT: As for the fulfillment after being terrorized thing, Ali never lost her cool when the guy was threatening her so it's not as though she went through something traumatic for her. (She hadn't regained her memories of her past life with the X-Men yet, but I guess she retained her ability to avoid going all to pieces in the face of danger.) She had no reason to hate the guy or want revenge on him, although I think she did get a small measure of it when she blasted him. He was just a pitiful creature, and sometimes people ARE able to forgive those who want to hurt them.

    Yes,

Emma had one of her students (Tantra) force it to make out with a tree.

You are misguided. Lots of men are pitiful, and their victims can keep their cool (Sage is very Stoic about attacks on her), but that doesn't make the attacks any less traumatic. Stop being a CC apologist.

Well that's abusing the TREE, not the rat...

Sage is beaten even by her friends.
I think that's just their way of saying, "We don't really like you."

Indeed, my absence would render the thread completely devoid of all smartassery!

But you need me, whether you realize it or not, so I'll stay. (I hope I don't sound like a stalker or abuser myself when I say that. I wouldn't want to contribute to the problem.)

WBE was right about the cycle of violence.

Roberto got it from his father and his father figures.

Let's not forget the Wolverine's physical and verbal abuse of X-23.

Yes, I don't think attacking your clone is really considered assault. It's a confusing ethical issue. It's like twincest. Is that really incest or is it masturbation?

Who wrote that scene with Wolvie and X-23?

Rahne's been enslaved by the Genoshans, stuck in half-human form after that, was abused by Rev. Craig (in keeping with the theme of the thread) who later turned out to be her dad, and on and on. More recently she was convinced that she was destined to kill Jamie Madrox and Layla Miller.

So "hope"? Maybe. "Innocence"? Um, no. You don't go through all that shit and stay innocent.

Well, I'm sure Kyle and Yosy will do their best to eliminate both character traits for Rahne in X-Force. She's already been knee capped, nearly killed with an overdose and brainwashed into mauling Warren.
