Default WizardWorld Chicago: Aaron Talks "Wolverine: Manifest Destiny"

This October, Wolverine's history with San Francisco's Chinatown district comes back to haunt him in the "Wolverine: Manifest Destiny" mini-series. CBR News spoke with writer Jason Aaron about the project.

Sounds cool, but I particularly liked this part that I took from the Newsarama interview:

As for whether Aaron might get to write more stories in the regular Wolverine ongoing, Barber offered hope of the writer returning to the series. "Hmmm....you never know. People really dug his “Get Mystique” arc, and I have a feeling they're really going to love Wolverine: Manifest Destiny," Barber said. "Once the Millar/McNiven “Old Man Logan” arc is up, let's just say there are some exciting plans on the way."
Sounds like Aaron might be coming back to Wolverine after Millar and McNiven finish Old Man Logan. That would be great IMO.

The thing with China Town doesn't comes completly out of nowhere. I remember that during Hunt for Xavier, Kitty, Marrow, Nightcrawler and Wolverine had been in San Francisco.
There they visited some old chinese store. The owner seems to know Wolverine and made some comments about Wolverine having been there once.

However since its another Wolverines past storys, not to forget another unnecesary Wolverine book (honestly all storys which are currently done, have been done in some way before, as much as i like Wolverine there is nothing about him which could be new). I'm not really intrested (i only sometimes get intrested in his main solo series like in the get Mystique arc but thats it).

Yeah, I kind of wish they'd just give Wolverine Origins to Jason Aaron. Let him work from Way's outline (as he has outlined through issue #60), but let Aaron actually write the thing with Mike Deodato, Jr. doing the art. That would be perfect IMO.

    I've been wishing this, too.

I'm just happy Aaron's back with a Wolverine book, I hope they make him the regular writer.

Sounds great. I love Aaron's Wolverine. That said, I'm not a big fan of the artist they selected for this project.

The art is the main reason I'm buying this mini. Segovia's art is a cross between Steven Platt and Lenil Yu. It's awesome.

What has Segovia done before? His name sounds awfully familiar.

    You got it.

Despite the weird crossing up of Japanese and Chinese stuff in the article I couldn't be farther in.
