The First Witchblade issues i read were drawn by Michael Turner. I always loved his work for any company he worked with, even if i'm essentially a Marvel fan. Anytime he drawed (covers or interiors), he always gave everything. I never met him, but i know, by looking at his art, he was exceptional. As a fan, the comics world suffered a great loss. I give my prayers to him and his family.

Michael Turner: Rest In Peace! I still can't believe you passed away.

    Remembering Michael Turner: Geoff Johns

As evidenced by the many tributes to him last weekend at Wizard World Chicago, the late Michael Turner touched many lives. Among them is his friend and colleague Geoff Johns, who shared his thoughts with CBR News.

His art had life, it brought dynamic back, his characters would breathe on the page, I have several of his works hanging in my office, I just stare at them. Rest in Peace Mike.

Man, I'm only four years younger tham him. Way too young to pass away. I really liked his art style. God bless you and thank you Michael for bringing joy to my comic book world.

He was so good it was scary. I had no idea he was sick. He was one of the top (dare I say it?) young talents.

I just found this bit of crappy news out. I guess I was off in my little non-comics world. Michael wasn't one of my fav artists, but I can recall appreciating some of his cover work. That cancer is a shitty thing.

RIP to Mr. Turner and condolences to his family.

Smile The comic industry has lost a most tallented individual

I too had no idea that Turner had passed until just about an hour ago. It is a shame that national news does not show enough respect for all and notify people of great talents passing. This man was no different to some people any other man but to those who follow the comic and graphic novel community he was a great. I know I will miss his works. I have been large into comics since childhood but never really got into collecting them until my late teens. Micheal`s works on "Witchblade" were so realistic and fresh to me. It was like a new era of artists were starting with ground breaking realistic styles and at the time he was my favorite. The women he would draw,,,,,whoa,,,,,,if they were real. Sara Pezini , Aspen, his take on Lara Croft,,,,,,,, c`mon give the man his due. He`ll go down as one of the greats in my book, great person and creator taken at way too young of age. He gave so much and had yet so much more to give. I hope that his company he worked so hard to keep going doesn`t let it all pass along with him, because that too would be a shame. To the family and friends of Micheal who actually had the chance to know this great man my thoughts and prayers are with you,,,,,god bless you. He will not be forgotten by me for sure.
