Funny... Coipel HAS already worked in Legion, and it is still his dream comic. His run was pretty good, art-wise. DnA, on the other hand, couldn't save that crappy rehash of a Legion book from being erased.
Wonder Woman might have come first, but Kitty is much more interesting. WW as a character is about as boring as can be to me. Kitty has personality and is written as a better team player.
Today, I make no demands... no threats! But, one day, I shall voice demands -- and all shall obey them!
Man, would I LOVE to see a Gail Simone-penned Spider-Man book. That would be amazing (pun realized).
I agree about Kitty Pryde. Wonder Woman is a great character, but Kitty is a lot more interesting.
Yeah, some of his earliest work was on the Legion before he went to Marvel. In fact, I might be wrong, but I think he broke contract to go and left some very bad feelings at DC. That's my understanding why DC won't do a collected Legion Lost : to avoid paying Coipel one penny more for abandoning DC.
He's done some really nice work for Marvel and grown as an artist.
Hopefully DC & Marvel will do some more crossover projects. My favorites have been the outstanding Superman / Hulk one-shot, both Superman / Spider-Man crossovers, X-Men / New Teen Titans, and Batman / Captain America.
JLAvengers looks great and I've always heard rave reviews but still haven't gotten around to reading it.
When there's a regime change on either side we might see these projects happen again.
Who wouldn't kill for a good New Gods / FF yarn ?
