All I have to say is...
"ALEX NINO"
Dead Ahead makes me weep tears of joy.
I just read the solicitation for War Heroes #4 and all I have to say is![]()

Stuff that jumped out at me.
-Dead Ahead - The art looks crazy.
-Four Eyes - The art looks interesting and the story has my interest.
-Kick Drum Comix - I again realize I am a failure because I don't have any Jim Mahfood comics in my collection. Actually, I think I have something but it's buried in a box somewhere. I've never given him a fair try.
-13 Chambers - Very interested. I can't believe this is only a one-shot. It looks like a rich enough world that could go for a mini-series at least but what do I know. I like the cover art and wish he was doing the interiors but I don't know the interior artist here so maybe he's even better.
-I Kill Giants - Has the first issue come out yet? I somehow missed this in the last two months of solicits from Image. What's it like? Any good?
-Perhapanauts - Too bad the Halloween theme isn't mentioned on the cover. I have one friend who is a sucker for holiday-themed comics. I doubt he'll remember or notice by the time the issue comes out.
-Proof - I like that cover.
-The Sword - Every now and then the Luna Brothers get their perspective or depth or something off on people. The guy on this cover looks off somehow. Still, good series.
-The Walking Dead - I'm so interested to see what direction this series goes in after the big #50.
-War Heroes - I really like Tony Harris but I just can't get excited about this for some reason.
-Vignettes: The Director's Cut - I'd love to see new stuff of this vein from Valentino.
-Dear Dracula - Great concept. Will wait to see some preview pages but could be really good.
-The Roberts - What a weird solicit. I'm intrigued.
-Dragon Prince - I think I remember when Ron Marz and Jeff Johnson first debuted this story. I think it was in a benefit book. I wish Jeff Johnson was doing the interior work (where is he these days, anyway?) but Lee Moder is no slouch, as I recall. I'm glad to see Top Cow is letting Marz do some creator-owned stuff.
That's because Alex Nino's art is off the hook. He goes back a long way, and it's one of those sad, sad things that people don't give him work because he's not the latest flavor of the month! One of the Philippino masters of the craft, his work should not be missed.Originally Posted by CoreyB

I'll definitely be picking up Back To Brooklyn and Invincible.
