Default HeroesCon 2008: Image Is Everything

The Image Comics panel at HeroesCon ran over it's scheduled time, treating fans to an extended afternoon (and a ton of artwork) with Eric Larsen, Robert Kirkman,
Todd Dezago, Jonathan Hickman and Craig Rousseau.

Thats what you call leaving the audience wanting to know more. Image Comics can be such a tease sometimes.

Image has a better selection of top notch books on a consistent basis than either of the BIG TWO... probably combined.

Also highlighted was the upcoming "Golly" by Phil Hester, described by Larsen as southern gothic horror. Hester's story has a carnival ride repairman doing Heaven's work fighting the Devil's minions here on Earth, which, since it's set in the South, features were-hogs and obese goth vampires.
Is y'all qualified to write 'bout the South in them thar funny books? Just take this here simple test:

    1. Has y'all ever watched an episode of The Beverly Hillbillies?
    2. Has y'allever watched an episode of The Dukes of Hazzard?
    3. Does y'all know who Jeff Foxworthy is?
    4. Has y'all watched at least one Braves game on TBS?
    5. Has y'all set foot inside Atlanta's airport?
    6. Has y'all set foot inside Charlotte's airport?
    7. Has y'all ever ridden a cab to/from Charlotte's airport to HeroesCon?
    8. Has y'all ever had someone read a funny book with Rouge in it to y'all?

Now, total up y'all's score (gets a Yankee to helps if y'all cain't count). Each "yeah" count one point. Each "naw" count ought points.

    0-1 points - Yankee
    2-4 points - Yankee carpetbagger
5-7 points - Son of the South
8 - True descendant of General Robert E. Lee

Remember: the South will rise again, y'all!

I love reading about Image. Been reading their books all my life. One of these days, I'll be up there.
