Default Wanda's not a mutant in House of M?

Hmmm, I guess I missed that. Doesn't she pretty much have to have still had her mutant powers to have pulled off the switch back to "normal" reality, and "no more mutants?"

Wanda pretended to be human in the House of M until the very end when she used her powers, so everyone including her family thought she was human.

Should have been called House of M: Civil War, no? LOL I bet marketing had a hard time deciding which would sell better; the blockbuster-esque Civil War or a title reminiscent of the recent House of M Avengers series.

Wow, this is so awesome! Sounds really good, looks really good, I'm all over this.

We get a HoM reunion, Polaris fix and appearance during 40th anniversary, an interesting story that since HoM I've always wanted to see, one of my favourite writers and another favourite artist! Such great news!

The title "Civil War: House of M" isn't just a clever combination of the titles of two of Marvel's biggest event comics, it's a literal description of what happens in the story. "It's a civil war in the sense that humanity and mutankind are at war," explained Gage.

As for the plot, it's the story of Magneto's rise to power. You'll see him meet and ally with Charles Xavier. You'll see Quicksilver and Polaris fight at his side (with Wanda in a non-combat role), initially not knowing they're his children. And you'll see what sacrifices have to be made for the dream to become reality."

For Magneto's dream to become reality, he'll also have to overcome a multitude of adversaries. "Well, needless to say, there are Sentinels galore," Gage confirmed. "In the first issue, Magneto finds himself battling Apocalypse for the right to chart the direction of the mutant resistance movement. And as he consolidates his power, the U.S. will send some of their top agents after him--including a former young ally of Captain America."

Given its sprawling scope, "Civil War: House of M" will feature large supporting cast. "The major supporting characters are Charles Xavier and the rest of the House of M-Quicksilver, Wanda, and Polaris," Gage revealed.

This was the HoM story I have been waiting for. We get to learn who the royal family was at people and how they interacted and we get a nice Polaris appearance during her 40th anniversary as a character. We get to see Magneto, Pietro, Lorna, and Wanda work together and take over the world, and we finally get to see an all out civil war between mutantkind and humans, I can't ask for much more then that from a mini series.

I hate to whine but isn't this over the top? Now we have a book based on two events combined into one? Even if it isn't a true combo, it just seems so cheap to do so, good writer or not.

Huh? As Gage said the Civil War in the title refers to the Human/Mutant Civil War that takes place in the HoM universe, it has nothing to do with the Civil War crossover event.

While the story itself is sort of intriguing in a "What If...? kind of way, Magneto vs Sentinels has about the same suspense as a black belt martial artist kicking the crap out of a fat six year old. The fight is more than just a little one sided. I hope to gawd that is not their "climactic battle".

And I have to agree, the title is crap. No matter how they may try to justify it, it looks like Marvel is crossing over it's crossovers. Slapping "Civil War" on there to ride the hype...
