I wonder what part the widow will play in all of this. Hopefully it's nothing short of blowing a hole through the queens head.
[Level 1 antagonism]
Homer: Ned Flanders, I mock your value system. You also appear foolish to the eyes of others.
Ned: Well howdy, Homer! Thanks for dropping by!
[Level 2 antagonism]
Homer: Past instances in which I professed to like you, were fraudulent.
Ned: Oh well. I'll just have to try harder. Thanks for dropping by!
[Maximum hostility factor]
Homer: I engaged in intercourse with your spouse or significant other. Now that's psychiatry!
Is it just me or did they spoil the hell out of Black Widow with this?
Black Widow was suspicious of Spider Woman in one of the last Mighty Avengers issues. To me it suggested she wasnt a Skrull. SO this cover suggests they are going to be fighting for Tony's mind?
Well the Widow is more closer to Fury than Drew ever was in the past.![]()
So it got to be her saving Tony from the Skrull queen on Fury's orders.![]()
Wow! That is one seriously nice piece of artwork.
In fact, those pencils are so nice that I can't help thinking that this cover's gonna loose something after inking and colouring.
MY PULL LIST
All-Star Western • Avenging Spider-Man • Hit-Girl • Lady Mechanika • Road To Oz • Sherlock Holmes: The Liverpool Demon • Superior Spider-Man • Star Wars • Star Wars: Dark Times
To me, the Black Widow's body language seems to indicate that she's there to hold off people from interfering with the Skrull Queen's attempts to subjugate Tony Stark, thus making the Blakc Widow a skrull...
....unless that's suppose to be the real Spider-Woman and not the Skrull Queen posing as Spider Woman on the cover. Then it's telling a different thing all together.
But scenario #1 seems to be the more likely one of the two.
...Or Steve McNiven wanted to draw Black Widow the way he wanted to draw Black Widow.
A sleeper skrull might explain her accusations, but who knows.
Maybe we're all wrong and there's some crazy angle to all of this and we just need to wait until number four.
I still feel like my Secret Invasion #4 was just spoiled.
Marvel has another Secret Invasion #4 variant by Leinil Francis Yu, featuring a badass Nick Fury.
How can that be the blonde bw when she was blown and turned into a machine cyborg?
Hi, my name is Peter Parker and I make satanic pacts with demons..I shall not buy Amazing Spider-Man until the marriage returns. Be a part of the movement.
