Luck of the Irish: Siryn Appreciation

I think Dazzler and Siryn should team up. Not only do their powers compliment each other (Dazzler converts sound into light) but they're both friends with Deadpool and I think there can be a fun story there. I can see Deadpool basking in their collective beauty

I like this and it seems like a good idea as well
It would be perfect for the Deadpool series, having them guest star
Having their powers used on each other would be an interesting visual too

I insist that you begin writing monthly character spotlight issues, as well.

Each could have a different, but absolutely FABULOUS (Calero anyone?) artist working on it.

Monet's needs to deal with a) whether or not she considers herself black (this has popped up repeatedly in other threads), and b) what's up with those ridiculous twin sisters of hers. Also, BACHALO on art.

Siryn's needs to deal with her loss of both Seans and establish a legitimate romance between her and a non-X character. Drawn by Bryan Hitch, please.

Darwin's needs to have him test the limits of his powers. I'm talking creative, PAD. Immomen on art.

I'd imagine they be open to suggestions by the writer, but I think mostly it is probably editorial that chooses.

I would think everything is engineered/initiated by the writer, but Marvel would have the final blessing on whether it goes or not... since it's their product and one writer's planning may not be in the best interest of the company/products.

Just so we're clear on that, because I don't need this to turn into, "Peter David read this suggestion on CBR and turned it into a story, be careful what you write because he's scanning the internet in order to steal your ideas!" Which, believe me, I could easily see happening. I've learned that if there's any negative spin that can be put on something, the internet WILL spin it that way.

I'm just saying that, yes, I agree it's a good idea, and I also thought it back when I wrote it a few months ago. As a matter of fact, the idea of costarring Siryn and Dazzler in an issue of Wolverine: First Class was suggested by the editor, although I was the one who came up with the angle of having Dazzler using Siryn's abilities to amp herself.

That said, I publicly relenquish any and every right that I might have had to my suggestion. Consider it more of a request. You write good comics and I love the X-Factor characters. A collected "spotlight" trade would look absolutely FABULOUS on my bookshelf.

On a more editorial note, how much pull do you have in selecting your artist? I feel that Calero would do wonders for the book. Have you seen his work on X-Men Noir? Stunning.
