Early Life, the Dark Side and her introduction to Banshee:
Maeve Rourke, the wife of the former Interpol Agent, Banshee, gave birth to Theresa Rourke, while Sean Cassidy was working on a deep undercover mission for Interpol. Not much later, Maeve died in an IRA bombing. With no means to contact Sean, his cousin Tom took care of Theresa. When Sean returned to learn of his wife’s death, he was devastated. Before Tom could even tell him of the existence of his daughter, Sean lashed out at Tom with his sonic scream for not having taken better care of Maeve. While Sean flew away in anger, Tom fell into a chasm, breaking his leg as a result of the attack, which left him with a limp. Angrily, Tom swore to make Sean pay and vowed to never tell him about his daughter, raising her himself instead. Later though, Tom got involved in more illegal activities and eventually shipped Thersa off to a Boarding School when she was twelve. At that school was where she had her first taste of alcohol. At the time, she was thirteen, and angry at Tom for shipping her away and had very few drinks, but then it escalated to larger amounts. The other girls at the school saw the negative effects of alcohol and quit, but Terry continued to dull the pain. At age 15, Theresa found out Tom was arrested by Interpol for Black Marketeering. At the time, she wanted to feel worse, she thought she was rebelling, but then she got more incentive, and knew she had nowhere else to go. (Revealed in X-Force (1st series) #31)
The next time she is seen is her first actual appearance as a criminal. Spiderwoman came home to a house-warming party after moving into a new apartment only for it to be interrupted by a loud sonic scream only she can seem to perceive. Spider-Woman follows the trail and finds Siryn, Juggernaut, and Black Tom at the San Francisco Mint, where the trio was about to steal a load of vibranium. Spider-woman takes on all three and eventually over-takes Siryn, who resembles banshee, but is trickier to beat, but Spiderwoman is eventually taken down by Juggernaut and the criminal trio escapes with the vibranium, framing Spider-Woman for robbery. Xavier detects her and sends the X-men in to investigate. Spider-Woman flees from the police and is confronted by the X-men, and her and the X-men find Siryn, Black Tom, and Juggernaut. The two groups fight, where Siryn hypnotizes Angel, but she is evenually tricked and taken out by Spider-Woman, and Storm and Colossus take out Black Tom. Juggernaut is eventually stopped and his whereabouts are unknown, and Black Tom exonerates Spider-Woman and Siryn from any trouble and tells the X-men to take care of Theresa. (Spider-Woman #37-38) Some time after the incident, Spider-Woman brings Siryn to the Xavier institute where she is revealed to be Banshee's daughter. Sean was surprised not knowing about her, but the welcome was warm, and she moved to Muir Island with Sean and Moira, Moira seeming a little apathetic at first. (Uncanny X-men #148)
Fallen Angels and Muir Island:
The next time we see Siryn is in the Fallen Angels series on Muir Island where she is seen training her mutant abilities. Moira is called to New York, with Madrox and Theresa coming with her on the trip about some administrative work Magneto needed help with. Siryn and Madrox are sent out to search for Sunspot and Warlock by Magneto, and eventually find them, but Sunspot, Warlock, and the mysterious Fallen Angels "mysteriously disappear". While searching, the two eventually learn about the Fallen Angels they finally catch up to them and are teleported away by Ariel. They appear in a prehistoric scenario and are attacked by a dinosaur. Vanisher escapes and the Siryn and Madrox help out the Fallen Angels. They eventually journeyed to Ariel's home in a place called the Coconut Grove and were held captive. After they broke free, they returned to Earth, and Siryn and Madrox returned to Muir Island. (Fallen Angels #1-8)
Somewhere in between her return to Muir Island and her adventures with the Fallen Angels, Siryn is seen at Cassidy Keep, where the Kinsmen, a soon-to-be super-hero team of Ireland, wanted to see Banshee for an overdue debriefing. Siryn is instead found there and literally screamed at them to leave. Since the Kinsmen are new to being superheroes, Siryn takes them down easily. She then finds McFaden, the guy who was head of the operation, and destroys his helicopter. (Marvel Comics Presents #43)
Back on Muir Island, things start to escalate starting with Moira having the residents of Muir Island battle in a mini-colosseum arena. During the fighting, at first, Siryn felt scared and worried for Rogue, but after the fight and when Guido got badly beat up by Rogue, Siryn was proud of Rogue and congratulated her; somewhere distance, Xavier sensed the Shadow King's prescence over Muir island and sends the X-men in, where they are all taken out, Banshee being tricked and taken out by a mind-controlled Siryn. Eventually, Siryn is broken free from the Shadow King's hold and the Shadow King is defeated by the X-men and allies. (Uncanny X-men #278, 280)
Siryn returns, motivated in keeping her Uncle from doing bad things and tracks him down at the World Trade Centers in New York City with the Juggernaut. She fights against her former allies, two against one, and is eventually defeated. X-Force eventually comes to her rescue (Cable in some weird Armor) and she hooks up with them to stop a hostage situation also caused by the duo. X-Force and Siryn eventually take control of the situation and defeat the duo. (X-Force (1st series) #3-4, Spider-man #16) Siryn is then welcomed to the team by Cable and is made an official member. (X-Force (1st series) #5)
Shortly after that, Siryn's been on many missions with X-Force; the first one included the team-up of X-Force and the New Warriors where they find out A.I.M. is trying to re-creat Proteus. A villain known as harness, and her son Piecemeal come to take the last of the Proteus energy signature and it's too much for Piecemeal to handle, and eventually ruptures, bringing back Prtoeus with the personalities of Gilbert benson and Kevin Mactaggert, who then blows up Edinburgh. X-Factor comes in to help and all the teams combine to try and stop Proteus, who is eventually convinced into committing suicide. (Uncanny X-men Annual #15, X-Factor Annual #6)
Siryn has continued to participate in many other X-Force missions, such as the team-up of the Brotherhood and the Morlocks, where she was taken by surprise by Pyro, but eventually takes him out. The fight escalates, resulting in the supposed death of Cannonball, of course he's really okay. Outside, Warpath, Siryn, and Shatterstar are searching for the remaining Brotherhood members. They encounter Blob and take him on, where they are eventually defeated. (X-Force (1st series) #6-10)

During the mission, there is some conflict amongst the members of X-Force, as Siryn isn’t pleased she was passed over to lead the other unit. She tells Sam that if she’s good enough to be on the mission then she’s good enough to lead the second unit. Cannonball apologizes and explains it’s easier for him to turn to Ric and Bobby. Siryn tells him that if Cable had no problem turning to her then neither should he. In the end though, the duo were saved. (X-Force #24)
X-Force is seen looking for Cable, and during the search, Siryn and Warpath are taken out by Cable, who appears in the shadows at first. She then throws herself at Cable and falls down, making a fool of herself. James comes out and helps Siryn to bed, feeling concern about her constant drinking problem. (X-Force (1st series) #26)
X-Force is infiltrating the Foundations, a mutant research facility. X-Force saves Neurotap from X-Treme, but X-Treme follows them back to the Foundations, where the undercover X-Force members are working. Cannonball and Siryn uncover the facilities true goal: to study mutants in hopes of removing the mutant gene to make them normal humans. Later that issue, Siryn is seen chugging out of a wine bottle, Val Cooper catching her and telling her to stop. Val tells Siryn she's an alcoholic and can't do that on the job, and that she can't let drinking be her solution. Siryn was actually drinking water from a wine bottle, that it was one of the twelve steps to giving up alcohol. If God loves her, he would turn water into wine, and if not, well that was unfinished. Val Cooper then reveals to Siryn that she miscarried 5 years ago. (X-Factor (3rd Series) #44)
Val Cooper tells Siryn that Darwin might be in Danger, because M was under a psychic attack in the hospital. Val found in suspicious that M wanted to be alone with Lenore and Darwin, Siryn not realizing that she had let them go without realizing it. With M being taken over by Cortex, trying to kill Darwin and Lenore, Siryn steps in, disrupting Cortex's view of the battle with a scream. She flies in, and uses her scream on M, while M tries to punch her. Though the fight did not last long, it was interrupted, when the Sentinels from the future Madrox was in teleported in and started to attack Siryn and the mind-controlled M. (X-Factor (3rd Series) #46) The two are doing what they can to dodge the Sentinel's attacks, Siryn taking one of them down by deflecting their own beam back at another sentinel, taking it out. The one that was attacking her chases her to a roof where she breaks it in half with her scream, some of the sentinel parts landing on the unaware Darwin below. After destroying the Sentinel, she flies to where Cortex and M are, M being free from Cortex's control, only to find out Cortex is the second Madrox dupe that was sent to a different future (Took place in Messiah Complex) (X-Factor (3rd Series) #47)
Though M has Cortex in her grasp, he blasts her into the hotel, through a wall, into the room Lenore was in. Siryn then asked Cortex what happened to him, how he became the way he is now. Cortex mocks her, saying he could tell her what happened, or he could reveal everything that happens to her in her life. Whether the mutant race is restored. Who she marries. How she dies. How her father, Banshee, is brought back from the dead. He asks if she would like to know, Siryn, is at first in shock, but then refuses and simply says no. She unleashes a sonic scream at him, blasting him through a window of a nearby office building. As he gets up, she then knocks him into the door of an elevator. Siryn then told Cortex that if she saw Madrox again, she would break his neck. Though she's had months to dwell on her state of mind, whether or not she would regret hurting him, she was thankful it was an evil version she would be beating on. Cortex says he could kill her on the spot, Siryn simply gets angrier and knocks Cortex through the elevator doors, only for him to port behind her and knock her down the shaft. She was not knocked out and is seen climbing up the elevator, saying she will kill him, only to see M standing over Cortex's body, after punching a hole in his chest. Cortex is not dead, and mocks them for leaving their client, Lenore unprotected, and ports away from the two. (X-Factor (3rd Series) #48) After the Cortex debacle, X-Factor was reunited again, though it was temporary, Siryn was not too pleased with Jamie Madrox's return. (X-Factor (3rd Series) #50)
Shortly after that, Jamie Madrox, along with Guido, went back to New York to reform X-Factor investigations, after his temporary leave of abscence while Siryn remained in Detroit. Eventually, Siryn shut down X-Factor investigations and everyone else went back to New York. Siryn and M went back to Cassidy keep to recapture her ancestry and soul, though every day, she became less like herself. While M returned to New York, Siryn was visited by Deadpool, hinting that they slept together as she was seen putting her clothes back on, while Deadpool's mask was laying on the floor. Though he begged her to come back to bed, she told him she has things to do and rode off on a horse.
Siryn was at the grave of her father, regretting that she allowed him to be buried in the United States. After all this time, she has finally accepted Sean was gone. In a joking manner, she mentioned that if he were to come back, she'd kill him herself for having her believe he was dead. She then started to cry and was offered a handkerchief from a stranger, only for her to turn around and see John Maddox, Jamie Madrox's dupe that had become a priest. Mistaking him for Jamie, Siryn punches him in the face. After yelling at John, Siryn realized Jamie was missing the trademark M tattoo over his eye and he didn't multiply on impact and apologized, offering him the handkerchief he gave her though she questioned if he was sent by anyone. The two bumping into each other was coincidental though. John Maddox gave Siryn his condolences after hearing about her baby and her father...
