    That's what I'm thinking too.

I hope every comic fan drops at least 1 X-Title, Spiderman, Superman, or Batman title and picks up Invincible instead. They will be so much better off... and think of the groin!

I was immediately thinking of an animated project aswell.

They need to get Dana Synder to voice Allen though or I'm not going to watch it.
I'm beginning to think that Hell is a comic book forum.

I usually skip an animated series but I think I'd be willing to give Invincible a try if they didn't tone it down for kids. I like the occasional blood and guts in his super-powered fights. It's what makes the book unique.

Yeah but "blood 'n' guts" isn't really what INVINCIBLE is about, at all. The core of the character, his relationships with his family, the responsbility dropped on him all to quickly, balancing supeheroics with daily life, the ongoing soap-operatics therein, etc. defines what INVINCIBLE is. Not free-floating intestines ripped out by someone's teeth, or an exploding mucus membrane that exposes brain tissue to the freezing vaccuum of space.

I agree and disagree. One thing Kirkman has been angling at lately is Invincible and his Viltrumite heritage. The recent issue where he was visited by an agent and she asks him has he not had problems with his anger, followed by a brief pause as he contemplates her words focused on this. Also, I really enjoy how he is so powerful and not in control of his powers that he can't help but lob a few arms and legs off. I've never bought this argument that Superman holds back. If you can lift a couple hundred tons, you're gonna hurt somebody whether you want to or not, ESPECIALLY if you're just a kid who is new to his powers. So yeah, obviously the character is always what matters, but the blood & guts does have to do with his characters and unique storyline, although I admit, it does come across as shock value sometimes.
