Man, Pak got his work cut out for him due to the fact that this is an all new characters in 12 part mini.

Pretty pissed that this is only a mini, I was looking forward to following this for some time. Pak can do no wrong by me.

Really enjoying the Hulk side of things these days, sign me up.

Heres to hoping Skaar kills a whole mess of people and gouges out some eyes.
I'm beginning to think that Hell is a comic book forum.

The article says its on-going. SO how does Skaar grow to young adulthood? Some kind of rapid growth phenamena from the radiation of the planet?

Im on board for this, reminds me of Conan a bit.

As others have mentioned, it is being solicited now as an ongoing, not a mini. If it were a mini, it would say 1 of 12, not 1. It is how it is across the board at Marvel. This is an ongoing, perhaps, like the Initiative, it was intended to be a mini but was greenlit to keep going.

part shadow physiology, part gamma radiation.

the Shadow People mature very fast until their early teens when they stop aging all together.

Like it said in the previews, shadow infants have a strong enough skeleton to support them standing up right as soon as they are born

They reach teenage level physiology at six years old. I don't think they go all the way into the teens to reach maturity, more like 10 or 11, tops, going by the speed they reach adolescence. Also, they do age, just VERY slowly, they showed older Shadow People, but they're very long lived and aren't old by human standards, they were ancient.

According to the article, it sounds like they're "Brood/Native hybrids."

I'm really looking forward to this. And I'm really surprised to hear names like "Okini" and "Fillia," places that were first mentioned in the Planet Hulk Gladiator Guidebook like 2 years ago. Man, it seems like they've been planning all of this out in great detail for a really long time. I'll have to dig out my Gladiator Guidebook and give myself a refresher course.

So, if this is a miniseries, how many issues?

It itsn't. As the article, cover issue number box and several posters have pointed out, it is an ongoing. At one point it was slated to be a 12 issue mini, but it is not, it is ongoing.

That's my guess. In No-Name's back-up story in one of the issues of Warbound, there were these Brood/Native hybrids who looked just like that. No-Name killed that batch after they tried to eat an Imperial girl, but I guess there were others that survived.
