I've mentioned this here before, but I am really looking forward to this mini, and this article just reaffirms my faith that it will kick all kinds of ass.

Really looking forward to this series. After reading that article I'm even more excited. Keene's writing style is going to be perfect for this. September can't get here soon enough. Although I have a feeling that this 4 issue series is just going to whet our appetites and drueling for more. I hope that's the case.

The decision to redesign his costume and to turn away from the superhero look was definitely the right one. It's cool that they kept the "X" on his chest as well.

Somehow it's not the same kickass character without the leather outfit.

The story could be good on its own but why not just come up with a completely new character insteading of taking a existing characters name and changing everything else? Why not have a story with the classic devil slayer?

Why did DC create Hal Jordan when they had already had Alan Scott?

I love the idea of Devil-Slayer's return, I just wish it was Eric, and while I like the new look I wonder is it just me or is basically identical to the Earth X Moon Knight look?

Because DC was basically dead and Alan Scott hadn't been seen in like forever.

And who said it was a good idea from DC to change the identity of Green Lantern? They could have revamped it with Alan Scott as this test pilot. Plus they changed it because their point was the forget the past, it was a starting from sratch. It became a problem when a writer started to acknowledged the past, saying there was another GL ans he had another name. Then there was Earth 2. The multiple Earths soon created a mess and they had to "clean it up".

    Isn't Eric Payne still around?

Hopefully this is just a story out of continuity that can be read on it's own.

Unfortunately, it holds no interest for me. This isn't Devil-Slayer and I hate that outfit. The real Devil-Slayer was a flawed superhero with supernatural abillities, and a great costume, not a regular joe with no powers, wrapped up in loose clothing carrying around guns.

Not saying this won't be a good story, but why call it Devil-Slayer when it's not?

Also, I wonder if this is what Keene really wanted to do, or did Marvel force him to go in another direction. He did say he was a big fan of the Defenders and the real Devil-Slayer.
    I seriously miss Captain Mar-Vell.

I really look forward to this mini. The concept is pretty cool. I never read that old Devil-Slayer stuff, so I don't care if this is a change. To date, all of the MAX resurrections I've read (Punisher MAX, Terror Inc., Foolkiller) have been great, and Devil Slayer looks to be just as awesome. I love the reinventions.
