Another point to consider is the popularity of the "death tournament" stories, as shown by the Hunger Games films (one done, two more to go). Marvel may rush an Iron Fist movie into production to capitalize on that

Now that is what I am talking about. With a writer of Damon Lindelof on an Iron Fist script and a decent budget, it could be an epic in mystical kung fu bad@$$ery!

No doubt. The fact that he's a comic fan AND has nothing but praise for Fraction and Brubaker's Immortal Iron Fist speaks volumes. Really hope Marvel takes him into consideration because he'd be a great choice.

I think a great idea for a series of movies would be:

First movie establishes the Iron Fist myth. It's kind of a like an Indiana Jones movie, where the mythical city of K'un L'un is on top of every archeologist's to-find list. One archeologist comes to finds ties to the Rand family and decides to ask them to accompany him on his journey. The journey proves to be fatal to all except for the archeologist and Danny Rand. Only Danny Rand manages to survive, as the archeologist succumbs to wounds that he suffered when wolves attacked the expedition. Danny survives and is discovered in front of the mystical city. Lost and orphaned, he's taken in and raised with the culture and arts of K'un L'un and eventually becomes the Iron Fist.

Second movie deals with the coming home of Danny Rand to inherit the Rand corporation.

Third movie shows the secret history of the Iron Fist, bring in characters like Orson Randall and the Immortal Weapons of Heaven.

That would be an interesting way of doing it. The movie is supposed to take in part from Immortal Iron Fist though so I think we'll get the legacy aspect and the Immortal Weapons in the first movie. Then the second and third movie could be based off the "The Last Iron Fist Story" and "The Seven Capital Cities of Heaven". Introduce Orson and Xao in the second movie and then it could end just like #6 did leading into the third movie. Of course Misty and Colleen could be there, the only question is would Cage be there too.

Anyone here of a game called Club Penguin? It's a role-playing game published by Disney and it was just announced that there will be Marvel Penguins, Iron Fist being one of them. Here's the line up:



Also there's a new Marvel game coming out for the X-Box 360 focusing on Avengers. I have no doubt Danny will be apart of it as some New Avengers were shown in the trailer, just have to wait and see!

Mostly everyday, Marvel Entertainment posts their "Marvel Panel Of The Day". Today's panel was Danny Rand's Brooklyn Headbutt:

Speaking to USA Today, Fraction and Brevoort revealed just when Danny's big role will come into play in AVX:

In addition, Professor X will be making an important appearance in issue 6 — "Scott's tether to what life was like before cosmic consciousness was bestowed upon him," Fraction says — and Iron Fist will play a significant role in Act 2 of AvX. Recent issues of New Avengers have flashed back to the history between former Iron Fists and Phoenixes past.

In issue 6, Brevoort says current Iron Fist Danny Rand "does something kinda funky in a fight sequence that is an indicator of things to come," and Fraction adds that "our midpoint pivot all hinges on Danny."

And there we have it, can't wait to see what Danny does. This could be the "game-changer" Brevoort was talking about in another inteview. Looks like Danny will prepare to hold back the storm!
