Damn you, unlettered preview pages!! <shakes fist at sky> I suddenly wish I knew more about Hope, but what if it's not Hope? that way I'm seeing these pages is, here's this girl standing at her farm, and all of a sudden a mysterious man from that far-off mystical city (Thunderer, as been posited by Panic) appears to help her fulfill some destiny she knew nothing about. A destiny about the Phoenix Force. Maybe she's the last person who was able to properly contain the Phoenix Force. (I'm just guessing because my mutant knowledge is pathetic.) So if not Hope (and clearly it's not Danny), then who?

Good call. This seems to be right. A flashback of the last person who could wield the Phoenix Force could've been someone from K'un L'un. That would explain how this person already seems to know what they're doing, as if they've been trained for it. The man in the shadows could be a past Iron Fist telling her she's finally ready.

Ding ding ding, I think we have a winner. Excellent theories all around, it would make sense that the red headed woman isn't Hope but someone else. Maybe Danny discovers a past Iron Fist helped trained this woman to control the PF and that's where he decides to do the same thing for Hope. Let's not forget Danny takes Hope to K'un-Lun in NA #27, this I think it's possible this is someone else.

Sounds like the kind of thing that would be recorded in his Book of the Iron Fist. Probably even with a "Darn it, I forgot to tell her _____! If I had, maybe she would still be alive now..."

There's definitely important information in the archives of the histories of K'un-Lun and the Book of the Iron Fist that Danny will discover, so this is entirely plausible.

For the new Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon, another step in the right direction for the Iron Fist brand. We know Danny will be an agent of SHIELD in the show but how awesome would it be to see him as an agent of SHIELD in the movieverse? Of course he'll have his solo movie but when you think about it, Danny has all the skills and powers to be a top agent. He's the Living Weapon afterall!

Also Season 2 of Ultimate Spider-Man is already moving forward and it was confirmed via podcast that the team will be getting episodes that explore their origins. Very exciting news, K'un-Lun and the Iron Fist legacy anyone?

Totally, it's really great to see Marvel pushing Danny not only in comics but outside of comics too.

In an upcoming episode Danny will explain the world of magic to Peter:

Danny will also help Spider-Man with his unique knowledge and past experiences in K’un-L’un.

“In an upcoming story involving magic and magical Marvel characters, Spidey is very skeptical in having never been exposed to magic,” explains Lane. “But Iron Fist opens him up to an understanding of the world of magic, the world of the mind, the world of dreams, and provides a real education for Spidey.”

As for the connection, the White Tiger's power derives from K'un-Lun, so I could see Danny bringing up that fact.

Well the show will take some elements from the Ultimate verse so yeah that wouldn't be far of a stretch. I always wondered what the other Cities of Heaven looked liked so it'd be cool to seem explored.

Heh, Danny is just as knowledgeable in that department given the magical city he trained in. Sides the episode deals with magical characters, maybe Strange will make an appearance?

Just a random question but...

Would Danny's "powers" really be classified as magic? I know often the world mystical is thrown around in his books but since he never really used "magic", instead the word seems to stand for the spiritual,symbolism, and mystery of either the city, his skills, ect. But magic doesn't really seem to be Danny's stick, not unless all chi is somehow connected to magic in the MU?

Personally I would rather have magic be one thing and Chi be another entirely. Not sure if that is the case now though.....
