Iron Fist Appreciation

Yeah looks like it was deleted a little while ago...but it made me that much more hyped. It looks like Spidey will have his own teen superhero team, Iron Fist, Luke Cage, White Tiger and possibly Nova (he was in the Beetle Mania storyboard).

I hope the cartoon is a hit. The first previews I saw of it were kind of iffy but I still have high hopes.

Likewise, it's definitely got a cool look to it. I'm just liking the idea of Danny and the rest of the gang as supporting characters. I think it's for certain they'll be in Pete's school.

I hope so! Not only will it be interesting to see the take on them at that age but it will also be good for them to be associated with Spiderman. It's a great way to grab new fans for the characters!

But if you look closely Luke defiantly could be a teenager. I wonder how Luke will be able to pull the secret identity thing since he is going to high school.

I hope so! Not only will it be interesting to see the take on them at that age but it will also be good for them to be associated with Spiderman. It's a great way to grab new fans for the characters!

It was confirmed that they'll all be teenagers, Nova included. AND another development is that Iron Fist, Luke Cage, White Tiger and Nova are Nick Fury's Shield team.

That would be so cool. But it's for certain Danny is an official cast member of the show. The premise is Nick Fury has a SHIELD team of a teenage superheroes and Spidey joins them!

That's how I remember buying comics when I was just a young pup dragging my old man to the corner newsstand. If you guys think Fist rocks now, he was something else back in the day too!

I think that killing the Dragon, Shou-Lao, is not easy and most die. Think about it. There have been only 66 Iron Fist throughout history and all died at 33 besides Orson, who ran, and Danny. When an Iron Fist dies there is a tournament every year to determine who will face the dragon. Most fighters die when trying to face K'un-L'un's mighty dragon. That is why being an Iron Fist is so special. It takes a rare fighter to attain that level of technique.

I was thinking this too. Plus, we know that you have to wait for Shou-Lao to be reborn between Iron Fists. And then you have to find a worthy candidate -- and then that candidate has to survive the experience. Yeah, being a Fist don't come cheap and easy!

UPDATE: A release from the network this afternoon said that Nova, White Tiger, Iron Fist and Power Man also will be teenagers in this version. And a short trailer of the series shown to us this morning revealed that Whit Tiger we’ll see will be the female hero currently donning the costume in the comics.

The voice actors for those four supporting roles were not announced. Drake Bell (“Superhero,” “Drake & Josh”) voices Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Chi McBride (“Boston Public,” “Pushing Daisies”) is Nick Fury, JK Simmons (“Spider-Man”) is J. Jonah Jameson, Stan Lee (“Spider-Man”) as Stan the Janitor, Clark Gregg (“Iron Man”, “Thor,” “The Avengers”) is Agent Coulson and Steven Weber (“Wings”) voices Norman Osborn.

That's some serious voice talent, too, for the Ultimate Spider-Man series. Still no word on who's voicing Danny.

Brubaker and Fraction reminded us just why Danny Rand is a badass in a big and amazing way with their take on him and what they established for him. They gave him new life so to speak and it resonates till this day, Iron Fist has really risen into a fan favorite.

Couldn't agree more, Danny's just a character with so much potential and it's obvious Marvel sees it. With the video games and now tv news, hopefully news of his movie soon follows.
