It may be referenced
but it is only similar on a very basic level
and not traced
like Land
wow.paft.yaiekes!.
[tumbl me]
I don't see it as traced. And even if it is, so what? One traced image in a sea of original work is not that bad. Land gets hell because he does it all the time; hell, sometimes he traces the same thing two or more times on the same page. Hitch is not Land.
Everyone has a price. Some are cheaper than others.
The solution to every problem you'll ever have: get over it.
Fire. Wang Fire.
Yeah, it looks more like a case of heavy referencing than outright tracing. I can't say I'm thrilled by either, but the latter would be worse.

Hitch is pulling a Rob Liefeld, not a Greg Land. Either way, it's still no compliment...
Haha...Liefeld couldn't even trace something effectively. He couldn't figure out perspective, anatomy, proper character design...the guy is/was a total fraud. Even in my younger days when I was penciling I was appalled at his work. It is some of the worst "art", that has been paid for, I have ever seen.
Nevermind...found this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Land#Controversy
To quote Bryan Hitch at Millarworld:
That was supposed to be a nod to Franklin enjoying The Transformers and his favourite being Optimus Prime with cutaways to Franklin playing with the toys as Reed fought Cap in the AGS. I cut all the other stuff for pace and the line of dialogue went leaving the odd looking suit being out of place. Thought about changing it but what the heck; I DO like these Transformers but when the sequel hits I want more Bobby Bolivia baby!
"After all, John McCain's led a very Biblical life. Like his namesake Cain, he is not afraid to go negative on a brother. Like John the Baptist, he paved the way for the new Messiah, and like Moses, he takes advice from a Bush who is going up in flames."- Stephen Colbert
It's a similiar design and pose, but pretty much none of the details match, nor does the angle and proportions.
