....Well.......They should have just printed the whole thing.
There's what?- only like 4 or 5 more pages to the issue then what the showed.
Gotta have atleast 3 pages for letters right? Right?
The Issues I get are quite lengthy for the story, so I don't quite know what your talking about, but this looks amazing. I like where they are going with the Father Son Dynamic and how they are moving Carl into more of a main role, which I thought they would do a long time ago. I am super excited to see where this goes.
That is a GREAT preview! Wow! Looking forward to this issue. I still don't really believe Rick will die but after #48 nothing would really suprise me. Can't wait to see who's at the door.
Great scene, the best touch was when Carl instinctively points the gun at Rick when he sees him move. It underscores how common place having to deal with death and tragedy has become for them.
I hope #50 will make it out soon (notice that the in store date still read as April 23rd)
No I'm making a joke on how short on story I feel most issues of Walking Dead are. It definitely reads better in TPB form. I was spoiled, not picking this title up until about a year ago.. So I had all these TPB to read and fell in love.. now reading it on a monthly basis I feel cheated at the end of every issue because I get to the end and am wondering why there's so many letters being printed (seriously that's what websites are for nowdays.) when that could mean two or more pages of story.
No it means we could have two or more pages of ads. I promise you that Kirkman isn't shortening the issues to fit more letters into them. I agree that the issues read fast because they aren't dialogue heavy. He tries to create a mood with the visuals and it can lend to speedy reading. I agree that the trades are the best way to read these, but the wait between them is tough to take.
Incredible preview.
I have a young son at home, and I think because of that I've found the last few issues particularly heartbreaking. I can't quite describe it, but when you can read this story and actually put the face of your own child on Carl, it becomes almost unbearable to read. The ending of 48 shook me to my core, and the cliffhanger of 49 left me more desperate to read a follow-up issue than I've ever experienced before. I really didn't think I'd be able to wait another month. I'm really glad these pages were posted to tide me over a bit.
I've been reading the trades, and only caught up about 4 months ago. It's such a different experience waiting a month in between issues...
