    Default Story Line PLZ?

ok well i have been a manga fan(japanease comics) for 6 years now and have over 200 manga books(ie. naruto, bleach ect.) and i never really took to much attetion to see marvel comics until a little while ago where i read Marvel New Avengers vol. 1(Hardcover) and i LOVED IT!!! so i went to go buy vol. 2 and it was of course the continueation of vol. 1 but since this is my first time reading this type of comic i dont really understand the timeline of things becouse it started talking about The House of M which i didnt kno nothing about until i went back to the book store and i saw the hardcover book House of M which i now know it refers to House of Magneto and the world that the Scarlet Which created but then also in vol. 1 its a continueation of the old Avengers and im just really confused on the story line so can someone post like a story line of Hardcover books i should buy like how it started and all couse i really like the marvel universe but its confusing when something called vol. 1 isnt really volume one and its a continueation of another story.

its all really confusing to me :(

i also bought Ultimate Gah-lak-tus and Ulitmate Powers but the 2 stories dont really tie in to each other, other then a few refrences and the same characters.

ive also seen wolverine talk about a secret civil war and some other superheroes so this is just toooooo confusing to someone who isnt familier with the way marvel does things.

I need help i want to understand the stories more and not read bits and pieces of the whole story.

thx for reply ive reactlly read Ultimate Gah-lak-tus ,Ultimate Power, House Of M and New Avengers 1 and 2 and all of these are Hardcovers and contain a couple of volumes or chapters dont know what u call them so mabye can u give me the names of the books leading up to these?

on a side note i think House of M is a continue of the Uncanny X-Men and Avengers couse like in the 5th page it says:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Previously in Uncanny X-MEN: Professor Charles Xavier--legendary founder of the X-Men who dreams of a peaceful coexistence between humans and mutants-- has come to Genosha with one intention: to rebuild a mutant nation from its devasted ashes.

Previously in AVENGERS: it was the worst day in Avengers history. The Scarlet Witch suffered a total nervous breakdown after losing control of her reality-altering powers. In the chaos created around the breakdown, beloved Avengers hawkeye, Ant-Man and the Vision lost their lives. Many of the other Avengers were hurt, both emotionally and physically.

    That was six months ago.

    HOUSE OF M.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

^^^^ so should i buy Uncanny X-Men and Avengers or is there something before those?

also would like to know if these stories have ended or have not ended and come out monthly or weekly dont know how its done with these kinds of comics.

would also like to know lol if umm every comic is eventually made into hardcover books couse i just hate normal comics with 20-30 pages and stuff couse they get easilly destroyed unlike hardcovers.

also this is the last one would like it if u guys gave me suggestions on other comics to read but that include a bunch of superheroes into the story like the New Avengers and Ultimates couse they include dozens of superheroes unlike some like spectaculer spider man which is just about spider man and stuff.

and really last one would like to know if Ultimates titles and Avengers titles are in the same universe or timeline couse its the same characters but i think those 2 are completely diffrent stories.

It's kinda late for me so I wasn't able to read thru all your questions (and I'm a bit too tired to decipher other ones), but the Ultimate titles and the Avengers titles are set in DIFFERENT universes. The universe the Avengers title is in is called Earth 616, and it is the mainstream Marvel universe.

I would recommend the current Captian America series, but the trade numbers are kinda odd with different volume ones. Other than that, I'd just start with Civil War and then you can figure out what characters you are interested in.

If you like teams stick to the list I gave eariler. Also pick up the Runaways books. It's easily one of my favorite books.
