i haven't found any really good pics
yeah ive seen a few pics of scott lang, got a few issues hes in, i meant i didnt really know enough about him to comment on the "shlub" aspect. i REALLY dont think Simon Pegg is the right guy to play him. At all. I think Michael C. Hall would be really good. the Second and Third links you posted look to me like Hall could fit well, plus hes a very good actor.

How about Andrew McCarthy as Scott Lang and get Jaime Gertz as the Wasp?

oh i know it. i just finished 2 seasons of Dexter; really fun series. plus it's set in Miami; Scott Lang coincidentally grew up around the Miami area. i just didn't want to use him as Scott Lang if he was available to play Henry Pym. but i'd love it if he did get the role for either. i guess that would make Jack of Hearts his "Sgt. Doakes."

they should make a movie out of Silver Surfer and Jack's cosmic adventures, and Eric King could play Jack. It'd make millions.

I dont personally see Hall as a Pym candidate. Although he could definately act it, i dont think he looks the part.

yeah, you've convinced me. i was so focused on casting Michael C Hall as someone (i started w/ Daredevil) that i missed the obvious. he really does have the same facial features as the John Byrne designed Scott Lang. the character would be doing really well if he got an actor of that caliber playing him.

that's what the Avengers movie is for. and the Scarlet Spiders aren't going to be in either, i'm pretty certain.

Yup, Hall in the Avengers too. He's a great actor and he seems earnest enough, and could pull of Pym's psychosis well, I think.

The Ant-Man movie would be about Scott Lang?

Hmm... no offense to Scott and his fans, but if they were going to do an Ant-Man on someone other than Pym I'd rather they just skip over to Eric O Grady. He seems cooler to me.

it follows both characters. i'm surprised how often people mess this up. i'd love to see Eric too but Marvel is purposely creating the feel of all of these movies being in the same universe. O'Grady's continuity would mess all of that up.

    An all Brat Pack Avengers!

Robert Downey Jr. : Iron Man
    Emilio Estevez : Captain America
    Molly Ringwald : Scarlet Witch
Anthony Michael Hall : Giant Man
    Judd Nelson : Hawkeye
    Andrew McCarthy : Quicksilver
    Demi Moore : Wasp
    Rob Lowe : Wonder Man

After typing all this, I feel the need to vomit...

When the character's name is Ant-Man, it's a slightly different problem with imagination, if you know what I mean. You can get away with Spider-Man, because at this point, he's a household name. Ant-Man at this point is already going to sound like a bad parody of Spider-Man. "He's like Spider-Man, but an actual insect this time, instead of an arachnid!"

the name "Ant-man" is the last thing they would see in a movie trailer. but you've made it quite clear that you wouldn't be able to take it seriously. that doesn't bother me. i'd just rather let Edgar Wright worry about it. isn't Hancock a parody of super-man? weren't the incredibles a parody of the Fantastic Four? won't Thor just remind people of Adventures in Babysitting? like i mentioned before, i don't think the problem is Ant-Man. the Avengers movie is a problem. they are purposely trying to link all of these films. are you saying they should just gloss over Pym's history as Ant-man and just present him as Giant-Man in the Avengers movie?

That's what they did with Ultimates. The other question being, do you really need Hank on the team? They left him out of the Mighty Avengers version.
