    Default DC UNIVERSE #0 (Spoilers)

Ok here's the rundown. Though I have to say all it was(that was until the end) is basically an ad book, a catalogue, here are three pages of stroy then an ad page showing you where to continue this story.

There is a narrator throughout the whole issue explaining all the events and events to come.

    1st part. --

Someone says "this is everything. this is me" and what we see is the universe. then it explains the justice league, the earth, the multiverse and how when the multiverse is on the verge of destruction, which makes all the heroes rise up and be willing to sacrifice everything they hold dear, "that war is called a crisis".

Shows a panel of Crisis on Infinite earths and that only one universe was spared. Then a panel from infinite crisis and that it was the violent rebuilding of the multiverse. Then a panel of Darkseid's eyes and what will come is "the final crisis".

2nd part -- Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds

    31st century

Superman is fighting a villain(I think it's Tyr) and he's trying to talk to brainiac 5, and it shows brainiac 5 with two other people doing a sort of seance and trying to contact someone. The Narrator says that in a thousand years everyone will still gaze into the sky to see him. The last son of the planet Krypton. And that when existance came into being there was light but there was also shadow. Then it shows the legion fighting shadows.

    3rd part -- Batman R.I.P

The narrator says there was "Good" - Batman and there was "Evil" - Joker.

Joker is in Jail. Batman is trying to question him. Batman figures out Joker has or knows that there is a masterplan, "the big one" pretty much the ultimate fight batman will have, Joker explains there are people that want to hurt him, hurt him so bad he'll never recover and that he'll never see it coming. Batman says if he was scared he wouldn't be Batman and to bring it on.

4th part - Wonder Woman: Whom the Gods Forsake

The narrator says that Wonder Woman is peace and war and that she is still beautiful.

Wonder Woman is battling Minotaur. Meanwhile villains like Professor Ivo, Doctor Poison and someone else are in places of death(Aushwitz, Poland. Darfur, Sudan) gathering earth and planning the genocide of the Amazons. There are shadowy figures watching her and saying that Wonder Woman had a chance to change the world but she failed and women cannot change the world and it is a job for men, revealing a batallion basically out of 300.

5th part - Green Lantern: The Blackest Night - Prelude

The narrator explains who Hal Jordan is and what he does, and that he once told him that if he didn't get the power ring he would have gotten himself killed dozens of times, the narrtor wonders if he was bragging or confessing.

Hal and John are on a desert highway investigating a code eight - a detonation of unknown origin which causes loss of life. Hal finds out that they've been transporting criminals of alien ties or weapons to a federal pen. Hector Hammond. The Shark. Evil Star. The Black Hand(that's a giver). And at the explosion there are bodies everywhere and that Black Hand had some kind of power surge. Hal gets the ring to analyze the energy and locate the black hand but it says error and can't process the request.

The Black Hand walks through the desert sick, he has visions of Atrocitus killing someone and then starts vomiting a black substance and then visions of a member of each corps and continues vominting. Then he says "yes" "I hear you" and looks up and feels the Black Power battery.

6th part - Final Crisis: Revelations

The Spectre is battling the Anti monitor in Crisis on Infinite Earths. The Narrator explains the nature of the Spectre. Then the Spectre confronts a murderer and kills him and makes him suffer, the narrator explains that he Crispus Allen doesn't understand the nature of the spectre and it is more than cruel punishment and in times of crisis he is capable of much more. The narrator prays he realizes the good within.

    7th part - Final Crisis

The narrator explains he sees light and shadow but is the only one who can see shadow. Then there is a burning body. The shadow he sees is cast over the multiverse. Then a close up of the face of the burning body which might be jonn jonz, the narrator explains that he is the only one that knows there was a war in heaven and that evil won.

Cut to the secret society and captain cold saying the rogues are only pledging allegiances to themselves. Then libra comes in and explains that they've been humiliated and defeated but that there is a god. Cut to a burning body with what seems fractures all around him and sharp teeth. Libra explains there is a New God that the bad men can trust and offer prayers to. and "here is his book(crime bible) and that he is his prophet of the new age. The burning body grabbing at the page(sort of going for us). Libra says that he will offer them their hearts desires. If they want a hero killed it can happen and new powers then they can sign on the dotted line. Libra says to believe in him which is all he asks. And that is his bid for the leadership of the secret society of supervillains. Cut to the same burning body but it's hand - The narrator says "there is a sound". Libra screams if he hears a hallelujah. The hand becomes a fist - the narrator says "a sound like the crack of doom". Cut to Libra's eyes and the narrator saying "Like a starter's pistol...And this is me"

    Cut to

Lightning above a ghetto strip joint and the red narrator box with a symbol of lighting saying "and now I remember."

Title - Let there be Lightning

    Barry Allen is back.

    Well, well...

Wally is my favourite character. But if bringing back Barry (my... well... SECOND favourite character ) is going to give us a GOOD Flash series once again, a proper relaunch with top-notch creators, hell, bring it on!

huh? Everyone usually says the best most iconic death is Gwen Stacy. IT was actually story built and not built around an event because they wanted to reboot a company.

that wasn't Gwen though and to this day it remains the most iconic death because never ever had the hero's love died before, that was revolutionary, killed by the arch enemy, changed the character as a person and even signalled what many call the end of the silver age and the dawn of the bronze age of darker more grim stories. 2 people in this thread might think barry's death was the best but most comic book fans around the world signal Gwen Stacy's death as one of the most important and iconic moments in comics history.

I have no problem with the resurrection.

I mean, even the writer of COIE, Marv, said that he made sure that Barry's death was done in a way that could give him a chance at ressurection. He said that there was window of opportunity for him to return.

    DC just pulled the trigger.

Haven't read but I want to note:

GOD DAMN YOU, COMICS BULLETIN. I deliberately avoid ANY comics forum in case of a spoiler, and then I go to Comics Bulletin to find "Barry Allen is back from the dead" as FRONT PAGE NEWS, helpfully titled "Spoiler" afterwards.

Yes and I guess you also believe Star Wars is not the most popular movie there is. I'm really going to take your opinion seriously hitokiri, over years of message boards, writers, books and articles written on comics.

Please, don't state something that can't be founded as a fact like your Star Wars comment.

Flash's death is much better than Gwen Staceys. You could argue Gwen's was just a plot device to effect Spiderman. Hell, they thought of killing other people in her place. They decided to kill her just because the writers didn't like her and where they were going. So I would even put Flash's death above hers for that reason as well.

I'd say #2 next to Captain Marvel, but that's neither here nor there.

I gotta say it was a really cool moment and got me pump for final crisis. And, I don't think he's back for good anyway. They always kill a flash during these things anyway and I'd rather it be a a guy who died before I was born as opposed to Wally or Jay. Anyway, they got me excited enough to want to buy final crisis. The scene with Batman and Joker was f'n awesome, love the new joker.
