a thread..about..sage love? never thought id see that. i only started reading around the time sage went to x-treme. gratuitous sage almost nudity, hella funny. its great to have her back to beating people up.

i liked Sage alot during xtreme xmen. it started waning at the end of uncanny. new excalibur sucked for me and now she's stuck in New Exiles with my fave character Psylocke. i don't think being there is good for them. id like to see Mike Carey write both of them because the way CC writes them is so interchangeable

Seriously, though, I did use to have an interest in Sage. I just think the character has never had the chance to stake her claim in the X-Books since leaving the HFC. Largely because she's been a Claremont only character. I actually wished that she'd been allowed to stay with Excalibur onto CB&MI:13. A book based around a government approved superteam, with a smattering of espionage, aseems a far more suitable place to develop her.

Totally agreed, a real missed opportunity there imo. Sage would work exceedingly well with the book's concept and cast I think, better than Betsy even honestly.... both need to get back to 616 asap.
