Can't wait to get a look inside this thing. Jones' art is just phenomenal. Really looking forward to Final Crisis now. But I have to say, of all the stuff that's come out of NYCC, CBR's initial interview with Morrison as been the highlight for me.

As a side, anyone else starting to doubt that it's Martian Manhunter who kicks it? It's beginning to become almost too obvious.

A god can't manifest in its real form in our plane, because it is a physical plane. The New Gods exist on a higher plane, a symbolic plane where they fight an eternal war. But something's happened and evil has won that war, and they are breaking into our reality, and that's what we see in Final Crisis.
Epic. Similar to ideas I had. So i guess Grant Morrison asked the same thing I asked here a few months ago, what makes a New God a God, how are they different to the superheroes and now he has come up with an idea for it.

As much as I like JG Jones, I think this epic style would of been better with J.H Williams III, the way he changes styles would of been just awesome.

If the GL tape up the earth as a crime scene, the person that dies in the first book has to be intergalactic, but it doesn't mean it will be a popular character like Martian Manhunter or anything.

IMHO, I am thinking it could be John Stewart or Guy Gardener, or another GL, since the GLs become such a police force after the incident.

I agree. Williams is possibly the best artist right now in either DC or Marvel's stable but I think he doesn't have the sales factor like JG Jones has built up with Wanted and 52 covers etc.

I think Grant Morrison and the book itself "Final Crisis" is the selling point, not JG Jones.

I love J.H. Williams but JG Jones seems to be a good fit with this project. I don't think style jumping would be a good fit for this project like it was for Seven Soldiers.

This page alone is pretty amazing.

I think he would be a good draw. I wish he took over one of the Batman books.

It just seems to me the big companies use these big events to kill characters they no longer have a need for.
