Dropped faster than Quicksilver on amphetamines and Red Bull.

Get a real comic-book writer on the title, please.

    Cool

Too soon to tell if I'm going to drop The Punisher. I'll give the new guys a try though I didn't care for Hurwitz's Foolkiller and Force of Nature was even worse.

    I'm not happy, but I'm not unhappy----yet.

I think these are three solid candidates and look forward to their story telling.

Makes sense. After a couple of years of just one guy on the title, hit a couple in rapid succession of one another.
The Punisher: I’m going to cauterize your rectum, sealing it shut, so when you turn those delicious Pink Pants™ Fruit Pies into waste products the bilirubin in your feces will leach into your bloodstream and you’ll die screaming! And I’ll watch while having sex with this grateful prostitute!

Trussed-Up Hooker: Blueberry are my favorite!

In other words, what StoneGold said.

True. Also I think that Punisher is a title that works for rotating writers, since a lot of the arcs end up pretty standalone as people generally end up dead by the end :)

I've read works from all three of these writers, and I absolutely love them. I'm overjoyed at the writer choices. I look forward to this.

I think Foolkiller is still up in the air. The characters are interesting, the plot isn't terrible. Duane Swersch-mxyzptlk I'm not sure about either. Cable is still too new to judge the writing, and the only thing that drags it down is the art. The other guy I think we'll be able to judge after the Little Black Book One-Shot.

Ennis is an impossible act to follow. I just hope they can keep the book up in the entertaining level.

Well... I've read all of their novels. And they are almost all extremely high quality. Great plots and characters, just bloody fun to read. I like Foolkiller, so I trust Hurwitz, and based on his other novels, he'll be a great choice. Also, the latest Marvel solicitations implies that Frank will show up in the second arc of Foolkiller. His novels are great, very dark at times.

I've read Swierzcynski's novels, and I think they are great. Extremely fast and bloody. Again, extremely fun to read. I love his little twists on the noir genre. His novels have a great infusion of pretty hardcore noir stuff, infused with some pretty dark humour at times.

And finally Gischler. He hasn't done any comics, but he has written a few novels, and I really liked all of them. Gun Monkeys was hilarious, that was his first one. The rest are great as well.

And another one bites the dust.
I read the book for Ennis, not for the Punisher. I might have checked out the next writer. I am not going to make the effort of checking out the next three writers.
I hope this sort won' catch on. First Amazing Spider-Man, now this. What's so bad about having just the one creative team?

'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."

I'll make an effort to give these new guys a shot, but I in no way believe that they'll be anywhere near as good as Ennis is.

Prior to hearing this news, I wouldn't have been surprised if they just ended the MAX book. I can't imagine that any writer would be too enthusiastic about following Garth Ennis' Punisher.

lmfao. Ennis was good but he's not THAT good. You guys make it sound like The Beatles were resurrected. Seriously, it's not that big a deal.

Foolkiller has been pretty solid this far so I've got hope.

Dunno where you read that Punisher is gonna meet with him tho.

that's because you have no eyes. most people believe Ennis' Max Punisher is one of the greatest runs ever, alot of big writers consider it the best comic of the decade. alot of bloggers also consider it the most consistently great book of the decade. others saying Ennis' Max Punisher is up there with anything Cormac McCarthy has written. Please don't shout out silly opinions like that to make it seem like fact and possibly turn off some people from reading it, when the majority opinion is that it is one of the greatest runs ever and some of the best crime stories ever written in any medium.

Big accusation. Wanna put money on that?

most people believe Ennis' Max Punisher is one of the greatest runs ever,
Clearly, he doesn't. And nor do I, for that matter.

alot of big writers consider it the best comic of the decade. alot of bloggers also consider it the most consistently great book of the decade.
Care to provide "a lot" of specific examples?

others saying Ennis' Max Punisher is up there with anything Cormac McCarthy has written.
Okay, that's great. But what if someone doesn't like Cormac McCarthy?

Please don't shout out silly opinions like that to make it seem like fact and possibly turn off some people from reading it,
Pretty sure he's allowed to post almost whatever he wants within the rules, but thanks anyway for acting like your own police force. I'm sure everyone appreciates your effort.

when the majority opinion is that it is one of the greatest runs ever and some of the best crime stories ever written in any medium.
Majority is a tricky thing...remember when the majority thought that slavery was a really awesome idea? Or how about when the majority thought that they should kill the man who had figured out that the Earth revolves around the sun, and not the other way around? Majority doesn't mean anything; the individual's opinion is what matters. You worship this guy. Whatever. Prodigy and myself both concede that it's good writing, but don't see why so many people whip themselves into a frenzy over it. Is your worldview really so narrow that you can't comprehend people having different tastes in COMIC BOOKS from you?
