Sounds to me like Wade might end up doing jobs for Fury after SI.

At least we get Bob, Agent of Hydra appearances.

Too bad there's no Paco Medina Deadpool preview art.

Finally, Daniel Way was able to spill the beans about what he told me at MegaCon.

    OK, I kept it secret.

I hope this series is a success.

Too bad Way doesnt write as well as he interviews. As always the interview is great, but I have a doubt on how it will be executed.

Although I may have told someone that the new artist rhymed with Taco Farina. :-)

Yay for Bob! I love that he's trying to respect the world Fabian has already created, I'll definitely give the series a shot. :)

Tragedy Deadpool? *sigh* Part of the reason I like him so much is that even though his life is shittastic he doesn't often let it get to him. At least Bob gets to show up sometime... Deadpool actually getting to participate in an event is at least interesting, I don't think he's ever got a big role (or hardly any at all) in a major event. The interview seems to be a mix of bad and good, with the bad eding out the good but I hope Way proves me wrong and it comes out great.

Deadpool may be crazy and without a long term goal, but that doesn't mean he's not going places or meeting people. Way plans for Wade Wilson to eventually run into some of his old friends. "What I'd like to do is have Deadpool get caught up in the most impossible situation, even for him. Than right at that killer moment, Bob, Agent of Hydra shows up," Way said. "You'll see people like Bob at the right moment. You've got to make him count because Fabian Nicieza [the writer of "Cable &Deadpool" and creator of Bob] put a lot of work into him. You can't just have him moping around saying, ‘What are we going to do today Deadpool?' That's a bit disrespectful to Fabian."

"And it's not just Bob, I love the interaction between Deadpool and other characters as well," Way said. "Characters like Taskmaster and Siryn. They're cool characters but they don't have high enough profiles to make a story arc. So you've got to bring in someone else as well, someone with a higher profile. You've got to anchor it to something else. That way we can have our cake and eat it too."
That gives me SOME hope, but I'm still not sure I'm picking this up. I'm glad Dillon isn't on art, so maybe.

If it's funny, I might grab it. Way's Ghost Rider was not very good so I don't have high hopes for this one.

Oh man, I'm so torn on this.

I'm happy Way's not going to ignore past relationships with Bob, Tasky, or Siryn... but "Pool-O-Vision" is a horrible gimmick, it runs counter to the character. For the love of all that is holy, Deadpool is NOT crazy. He never has been. The whole point of his ongoings have been that he uses "being crazy" as an excuse for his actions, or that his quips and jokes are a means to distract himself from them. Sure Wade's got a bit of a warped perspective and he doesn't take much of anything seriously, but he's not schizophrenic.

Using "Pool-O-Vision" every once and a while would be fine, but its going to lose any redeeming qualities it has pretty quick if its used multiple times every issue like it has in Origins.

If we're stuck with Way on the ongoing, can we at least get a Joe Kelly Deadpool guest-shot or two? The man's back at Marvel working on Spidey, which is awesome... but 'Pool fans need us some well written Wade.

Woohoo - Bob will be back.
I was beginning to hope that he had read Cable & Deadpool, after Deadpool dropped chimichanga in a couple of issues ago, and wasn't going to ignore everything that happened there.

I just don't like the sound of using 'Pool-O-Vision' more, but not doing as much breaking the fourth wall.

Like I feared, sounds like he's going to dump the supporting cast and only use them occassionaly so he can do his own thing..

    Not pleased.

Bob was Deadpool's loyal sidekick for crying outloud.
I'm beginning to think that Hell is a comic book forum.
