For the most part, the art looks great. My only complaint is that Maria looks like she's sixteen. At least, to me.

    Gotta love Ed's art.

He's the one who made me fall in love with Superman, now I'm even considering picking this up. And I was never really interested in the Hulk except for the PAD years. And I don't like the latest Loeb's works (his older ones were great, the latest I didn't appreciate). But Ed's art draws me in like a magnet.

McGuinness is one of my favorite comic book artists right now. Him drawing Hulk is pure badassery; I would buy the comic even if there weren't any words spoken during the whole thing just to see his art.

    Talking So...

...I've been outta' the Marvel loop for a year now...

...I know the identity of Red Hulk is still up for debate - but do we know when and how Rick Jones became the new Abomination? And indeed - it is pure badassery!

Ed McGuinness is apex of awesome!

Why can't this come out on time? Can Jeph Loeb do anything on time? There are 14 covers between the first two issues. It would be great if they could channel all that energy into putting out a monthly Hulk comic, you know, like they have for the last 40 years? The art isn't so detailed that it should take forever. Please dump these guys and get someone who can put out a good monthly book. Greg Pak, Peter David, ...anyone.

Now that's the opening to a comic book I want to read. Screw this summer event stuff and give me mystery and action. Go, Hulk creators.

I dont have a problem with it taking some time between issues. You have to look at this objectively. Plot developments that may take place in this storyline may effect and spoil things down the road for the same characters in another book. Thus, Loeb may have been told by Marvel brass to purposely delay the issue releases. Case in point, Red Hulk apparently squaring off with Thor not too long from now. So chill out, stop complaining and go find another book to read while you wait.

I can't wait for this issue to come out. I wish it came out monthly instead of two months. I hate waiting!!!!!

Ed is the only reason I even buy the book. I buy most of the comic books I buy due to the art alone. Most writers have up and down storylines, but Ed is always good on art, no matter how good or bad the writer may be at the time.
