Geoff Johns reintroduces readers to Earth-2 while welcoming Earth-22's Gog to the DCU proper. All that, plus Power Girl, Huntress, and a seat at the table for a Johns’ family-style Thanksgiving.

To me, Earth-2 is a classic case of showing the "Happy endings for the Big three" in that world. And I'm glad to see it return. :D
Final Crisis !

I think I have a fanboy crush on Geoff Johns ! I can't take it anymore.
As a long-tim JSA and All-Star Squadron fan, I love Earth 2 and I'm glad to see it back. I can't wait to see the annual. Having Jerry Ordway as artist adds a little somethign special to the project.
According to what Geoff Jones, creators can own an Earth. So, I vote for Keith Giffen's Earth, comprised of LSH v4, L.E.G.I.O.N, JLI (sans Greg Rucka and bloodbath), The Heckler, Vext, Ambush Bug...
Geoff always gives such great interviews, doling out just enough information to pique my interest without leaving me feeling as if something's been spoiled.
Can't wait for next week's issue, as always, and the annual sounds like it's going to be quite ambitious.

I'm a huge fan of the JSA, All-Star Squadron and the Original Infinity, Inc.
:)
I'm just gonna go ahead and throw this out there: I don't think the multiverse needed to come back. I don't think Earth-Two (2) needed to come back either. Yeah, there've been some really ugly kinks like Power Girl and The Huntress. I didn't really care for Power Girl being linked with Arion and Atlantis. But overall I like the single timeline. That's just my preference. I read Zero Hour, Infinite Crisis and 52 and it just kept getting worse and worse.

I like what Geoff Johns is doing over in Green Lantern.
I'm not really sure I want my Kingdom Come mixing with my JSA - that's like peanut butter mixing with chocolate! I'm not sure I'm ready for that!

I love the scene Geoff describes about needing the extra chairs and Starman lugging in a La-Z-Boy and saying "This is mine."
I love this version of Starman. I love the fact that he's got problems but EVERYONE in the JSA has decided that it doesn't matter. Its really kind of touching and emphasizes how open the JSA is.

The more I learn the more I realize how little I know.
Yeah, the JSA is a different kind of super-team and I love that.
First of all, there's apparently no limit to the number of members. Nice! Just like the JLU in the cartoon!
You can be an angry loner with a scarred face, a blabber-mouth teenage drama geek, even a certified lunatic. Whatever. You can still join the JSofA!
Makes me feel like if I had powers they'd even take me in. And I'm a mess!

i love the JSA, i liked Kingdom Come, but I don't see a reason for all this mingling and the same goes for Earth-2.
I definitely agree with Airdave on this.
What I don't get with Johns is, he loves all this old DCU characters and has finally succeded in bringing all of 'em back, but why did he have to kiil everything that was cool about DC in the late eigthies and the '90's?
I just don't get this guy at all, he's a great writer but sometimes he does stuff I absolutely can't stand.
I LOVE all those Earth-2 characters, (how about some All-Star Squadron trades?) but the return of the multiverse is a terrible idea. It's lazy and allows lesser writers to get their dirty paws on characters they neither created nor have any affinity for.
I think Geoff Johns is a great writer (and in fact, his run on JSA brought me back to comics after an almost 10 years hiatus) but his Earth-22 Superman has none of the nuances and layers of meaning that Mark Waid was able to do so (seemingly) effortlessly.
There is something lovely about the multi-generational feel of the DCU these days. It takes the mythology we all love into a new direction and I think it works. ELSEWORLDS was the way to handle a creator's imagination and give them a forum to tell really cool stories without the constraints of continuity or consistency.
The Multiverse was, is and will be a mess. It's re-creation stinks of "gimmick" and seems to NOT be borne out of a need to tell better stories. This makes me sad.
