If Professor Xavier was to form a new team after his recovery, maintaing his old non-violent methods (well, it got kinda violent sometimes, but I mean without the planned killing), which mutants do you think would join his group and why?
Is there even room for the old X-Men these days? Discuss.

Kurt i can see...maybe Angel & Bobby.
Whatever Scott's new vision is post 500 most of the X-Men seem to support him...so i cant say for sure really.

Te first two that pop into my head are Nighcrawler and Mercury.
Nightcrawler has always been shown to follow Xavier's dream and still
went around with him even after the revelation of every jerky thing he has done.
I have a feeling Merucry would join too. THey have had their momentswow.paft.yaiekes!.

Kurt. Jean. And Logan's such a joiner, he'd probably jump on and proceed to ignore the "non-violent" part.

From a story perspective, yes, there's still room for that kind of team. A humanitarian group, so to speak.
Hellion: Just to see the exchange between him and Xavier.
Empath: He's cool.
To name at least two.
I'm not sure how well it would sell, but...I know Kevin Nichols through a guy that knows a gal. Small world!
If nihilism didn't take some delight in destruction one might suspect nihilists were an unnaturally morbid sort.

Are you that confident about Storm? I don't know. She respects Charles a lot. Certainly more than she respects Scott.

I don't think the X-men would have trouble with Cyclops, I mean he's just being realistic about the X-men , they have always been ok about killing if necessary.. and aside from X-force, I don't think Cyclops is advocating killing all villains.

See, it is hard to say.
Like, im pretty sure most of the X-Men will know[or at least think so] Scott is right about the new vision....Storm seems to have sided with him judging by the fact she is on the Axm team with him...Emma and Logan are def another two who would back up Scott, maybe Rogue to....its hard to tell.

1. Storm--She is still a believer
2. Anole--He is not a wolverine want to be. he is the New Bobby Drake
3. Dust--She is pretty nonviolent except when forced to be. She is the new Storm
4. Gambit--he never seemed like a killer to me.
5. Red Lotus--He could be the reformed member and a Colossus type character. There could be all types of sexual tension between him and Dust.

It was pretty firmly established in X-Treme X-Men that Storm was done following Xavier. I can't imagine what he could possibly offer that would entice her to join him these days. Like Cyclops, she's outgrown his authority and his methodology. Originally Posted by Sanctus
Anyway, I think it's obvious that Karima would follow Xavier. Kurt and Bobby are good candidates too. That's assuming they aren't having to make a choice between leaders. At this point, I think Storm and Cyclops would both garner more loyalty than Xavier. He's one of my favorite X-Men, but he's fallen far in the last few years. It'll be interesting to him climb his way out of this hole.
