Default Andy Schmidt talks Life After (and Back at) Marvel

After founding The Comics Experience school, former editor Andy Schmidt returns to Marvel with two feature stories in “Marvel Comics Presents #8,” and “X-Men: Divided We Stand #2," and gives CBR an update on both.

I'm looking forward to checking out Andy Schmidt's writing. His editing helped "Annihilation" come together, and he's got some cool concepts to play around with by the sound of the article.

He was a nice guy, too, kept a real presence on the Annihilation board... the late, lamented Annihilation Board...

I'm really glad that Cyclops story is going to be told.

Also, my eyes were playing tricks on me with names like Cyclops and Havok floating around in the paragraph, and at first I thought Schmidt's son was named "Cable" instead of Cale. heh.

The article has been updated with new artwork from Schmidt's Marvel Comics Presents story.

Awww...he always seems like such a nice guy in his interviews (and despite judging things for what they are, niceness always counts in my book).

The Summers brothers obsession just has to go, though, Andy!!

I'm really looking forward to both of these. Andy Schmidt could quickly become one of my favorite writers. It's so nice to see that Scott dealing with his dad's death will be finally addressed, and it sounds Andy is a Havok fan so hopefully Alex gets a good story in Divided We Stand.
