Scratch that - Satanabolts does at least imply there's life in the old girl after Clash! OPTIMISM RETURNS!

However, what that would actually mean for the title... I have no idea. I wonder if Parker got all excited writing about hell for the Venom: Circle Of Four mini event, and has decided to carry it forwards? I do recall reading that he's a big Dr Strange fan somewhere, so could well go the magical way, especially after the Merlin stuff.

I'm not sure how I feel about Thunderbolts diving headfirst into the occult. I mean, sure, the themes are there currently, but I never was that big of a fan of that stuff.

I know what you mean - to me the Thunderbolts have always been a very technology-based team. Take the initial lineup - only Moonstone and Atlas had any actual super powers, the other four were all dependant on technology (Songbird's mantle, the MACH I suit, Fixer's tech-pack and Zemo's CV gadgets), so heading into occult territory is ALWAYS going to feel weird to those of us who have been with the T-Bolts since issue #1.

Going to hell again though... it could work to forward the characters of the team, as they're forced to face their demons. And hey, if Parker kills Songbird in three weeks, an occult team is WAY more likely to be able to rescue her from hell! >.>

Do you realize how depressing that sounds? Songbird, the T-bolts who hasn't killed and has gotten the short end her whole life, became a hero and stands up strong to Norman Osborn and his whole team of thugs, goes to hell when she dies. She's CONDEMNED to a life of eternal suffering when she's the T-bolt who reformed the most?

That's would probably be the most depressing outcome ever for the book. I'm sorry, but I am 100% against that.

Sorry, I was trying to cheer you up.

I meant to imply that Mephisto / whoever would steal her prize soul (cos it's likely to be rather shiny, with the redemption and all) and the Satanabolts would scamper off to the rescue.

    More coffee required.

EDIT - Not that's it's going to happen, Cap is totally gonna be in that last panel of #171.

Oh, the intentions were there, and I think that's great. But if Songbird died, I think she should come back by cooler means. Like some weird time flux or she comes back as a pink sound being.

But if you have Songbird get condemned to hell...that's probably the most depressing fate you can give a character. Because it's saying "No matter how hard you try, you'll be stuck here, tormented. You lived a crappy life and tried to become a hero, but that's not good enough!" Even if they rescue her, there's still that "You're going back" feeling. That's really would make Songbird the most tragic character of the Thunderbolts. She can try all she wants to be a good person, but she'll always end up there because everyone forced her to be a villain.

Nothing against you, but that's really depressing.

I... I don't want her to go to hell! Oh my, please don't think that. I was just brainstorming reasons why Parker would take the team on an occult bent and threw it in as a (clearly poor) joke.

If I ever thought she was deserving of going to hell, would THIS be my phone's background image?

Do you think they'll squeeze in a few panels in regards to Man-Thing?

Sorry, didn't want to have put my foot in my mouth after less than a day.

As for Man-Thing, I doubt there will be any panel space for him next issue - it's clearly a Songbird story.

I want to see a Tbolts issue featuring a Moonstone and Man-Thing date.

I have a feeling Moonstone would do most of the talking...and work...

Why is Man-Thing infatuated with Moonstone? Not that I blame it
