BLAST!!! I wish Ellis was staying on longer!

Why can he not commit to a title for more than 10 or 12 issues now? One of the greatest things about his Transmetropolitan back in the day was his ability to build great things over many issues. Planetary did the same thing (but don't even get me started on the lateness of that haha!) Now it seems he only either does random miniseries (Ultimate Human, Avatar stuff), or starts an "ongoing" only to bail on it or just have it barely ever come out (Fell, Nextwave, newuniversal, Desolation Jones).

I'm stoked for his Astonishing run, but have little confidence it we come out any faster than Whedon's.

OK, I may have to get this one even though I already dropped BND!

Ellis has said Gage is his replacement, but I don't know if he meant permanently or just for the crossover.

Ellis leaving is great news, and like you all didn't expect this from one of the most unprofessional professionals in comic book land.

I will now start buying the book after issue 121, an I look forward to reading Gage, who I think will do a very fine job.

Hopefully he does a better job than his House of M Avengers mini.

I love Gage's one-shots, but I don't know if i've ever seen him consistently churn out great scripts on an ongoing set.

I fear a noticeable drop in quality on the Thunderbolts title without Ellis. Gage is a good writer, but maybe a bit too workmanlike to arouse any real, strong feelings about the title.

Getting Yu on T-Bolts would make me drop it faster than a hot rock. The title would be dead to me. DEAD.

Why not Rogue lead this team?

So here is my Thunderbolts story... I have ZERO access to a comic shop, but I have been buying the trades... although that puts me SIX MONTHS TO A YEAR behind on the storylines.

MARVEL!!! WHEN WILL T-BOLTS BE SAME DAY DIGITAL!!! hopefully in March with most everything else.

I just bought Iron Man #219 CGC 9.8... the first appearance of Ghost. Someday, when he has 3 solo titles and is starring in Avengers, Uncanny X-men and Defenders, it will be worth so much money.

A lot of people are hoping he makes the big screen debut in Iron Man 3. I mean, who else are they going to use? The Manderain is getting slammed for racism.

In all honesty, the Mandarin does deserve to be the villain in the third movie... however, Ghost would be a much cooler choice (with cg effects and such). If they do go that route, I hope they go with the current version, rather than how he appeared initially.

It's weird that this thread would have disappeared for so long...

Ellis' Thunderbolts was very smartly written, with amazing art.

Gage's short run was pretty nice. It was cool seeing a very gung-ho Osborn, even though it was just a show for the media.

I've yet to pick up Diggle's run, but I can't wait to read more Ghost.

I'm in love with Parker's work. He's quickly become one of my favorite Marvel Writers, and Kev Walker's art kills. Ghost, Man-Thing, and Songbird are extremely bad-ass, and I can't wait for more trades to come out!

Sadly, I haven't read any of Busiek or Nicierza's (One of my favorite writers) T-Bolt work, but anxiously await the day I can afford to pick up the collected editions.
