Is Peter David involved with the adaptation as he was with Dark Tower?
I never cared for the Stand.
Call me when IT get a comic.
(gonna buy it anyway, obviously)
This could be very, very cool with the right team. The Dark Tower mini bored me, but that was more to do with me not having a clue what the whole thing is about; Jae Lee's art would suit this book brilliantly I reckon. Definitely interested in seeing where this goes.
I love Peter David, but I wasn't all that enthused by the first Dark Tower miniseries, and the first issue of the second one wasn't much better.
I'm hoping he isn't involved in the adaptation of The Stand so I can avoid buying it.
"I can't complain. I got to be Jim Morrison for the first half of my life, and Ward Cleaver for the second half." - Warren Zevon.
YES! YES! YES! Finally! I love The Stand and reread it every couple of years or so. Will definitely buy this!!!!
Can we just skip the mini and release it as a trade? I hate waiting for trades, but it's the best option for King's stuff.
Best comic on the market? Avengers Academy
i just wonder how many issues it's going to run. we are talking about a 1000-page novel.
According to LitG, Tommy Lee Edwards was originally supposed to do the art. As a Star Wars fan, I'm glad that's apparently changed. I'm afraid that at some times in the comic, he would change just a few details from a still from the TV miniseries and then use Poster Edges on Photoshop a few dozen times, along with a few other effects.
Case in point...
